It was very easy to assemble by myself. All of the parts were there and packed well to prevent damage while staying in a relatively small size box (good use of box space). It took me about 35 minutes to assemble it once I unboxed it. The heater ignites instantly when turned on and ignited with the start button. And it came with a starter battery (size AAA). It throws the heat well when the top heat shield is set to an angle. It’s perfect, and came in at a great price for the BTUs. I strongly believe it offers 50k BTUs! And looks real nice. It is lighter than I expected, But fortunately the base that the tank sits on is made to be filled with sand if you need it to stand well in stronger winds. This patio heater is of better construction than other patio heaters I’ve purchased in the past. I also like that it was partially put together. Some instructions might have been a little clearer. Overall good quality. I haven’t started it up yet. Update: I used it the other night and it worked great! Heated 120 sf deck area and everyone was toasty. I have one suggestion, however. The hole to pour the sand into the base needs to be bigger. That process was by far the more difficult part of putting the heater together. ... show more

About 2 weeks into it, the ignition stopped working completely. There is no provided support or Amazon was unable to help. Would not recommend buying this again Putting together was also difficult and no proper installation guide was provided.

This item has a nice quality to it. Little challenging to put together for my husband who is very handy. It is light weight so make sure to secure it. We had it standing next to the deck and the wind knocked it over. So the little hat like top is bent from falling. Arrived quickly and was reasonably priced. Good quality and ease of use are also pros for this item. I have had people say the same about a good wind knocking it over. That is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars. ... show more

I bought 2 heaters. One works fine. The other has a short in the igniter which prevents it from lighting. I have asked for help 2 times through Amazon and have not been contacted by the supplier. My next plan is to search the internet for a similar igniter.
