  • Perfect size for my animals
Color: Grey
I got this hutch for my bantam chickens. It was the perfect size and a cute set up. It was easy to put together. The material of the wood is pretty good and it's been very durable. Since it rains a bunch here, I sprayed it with flex seal which makes it easy to clean. I just spray it down with the hose. The wire is a good size so predators can't get it. My chickens have laid eggs in the nest box, and they seem to like their little house. ... show more

  • Love this- definitely worth it.
Color: Grey
This product was something I thought about purchasing for a long time- my little bunny needed an upgrade! I found this and really loved it, although I thought it was a little pricy- but I finally decided to just go for it. It was incredibly easy to put together— I did it myself in 15 minutes! The size was true to the description and the quality was better than I was expecting. Accessing the interior for cleaning and arranging is also very easy- thanks to the removable tray. If you’re thinking of buying this- here’s your sign. It’s definitely worth it. 🐰💕 ... show more

  • Small but effective for one chicken's "broody jail"
Color: Grey
We have some semi-feral chickens that get broody easily (want to nest and hatch their eggs). But sometimes we can't find their nest to remove the eggs and break their broodiness. So we bought this to serve as "broody jail" and keep the hen away from her nest for three to four nights. We successfully used this jail / hotel for three different hens. We also use it as a playhouse for the chickens with food in the upper house as a reward (see picture). Probably only bantam and feral chickens will fit through the upper door (2-3 pounds weight). Negatives: Strong wood smell even after being outside for weeks. UPDATE: the smell went away after a month or so. UPDATED: No roost, but we figured out how to make our own with multiple sticks and binder clips (see pic). One stick is unstable and keeps spinning, but use 2-3 and use a binder clip or clothespins to anchor the sticks together, and our chickens are content roosting and sitting on the sticks. Pretty small for a permanent chicken coop unless it's used only for sleeping. Positives: Convenient design with an open bottom so we place the house on our patio and use a hose to rinse off poop whenever the chicken goes upstairs to eat. The enclosed upstairs house has an easy access door for us to change our water and add food. Most chickens end up sleeping there instead of the roost since it's dark and blocks out our kitchen light that we use at night. UPDATE: after 9 months, cage is still great condition even after hosing on a daily basis to clean and air drying. Some of the white wood is stained from poop even after scrubbing with a brush with simple green, but still all functional. ... show more

  • Make sure to have a few small cuts of wood to help keep the tray held up
Color: Grey
Like everything there are pros and cons to something and I will start with the main good things: GOOD THINGS TO KNOW: easy to build (some bads to building but still easy), the "bunny room" is nice and cozy looking, the roof is where that weight comes from and is sturdy, all parts were there (some issues but not god awful), most important need to know, BUN BUN SEEMS TO LIKE IT!! BAD THINGS ABOUT IT: to start it off, the tray does not have true sturdyness to it, I will be going in tomorrow to fix it up and secure it so my anxiety doesn't get to me, there were plenty of "pre-drill" holes missing resulting in freehand drilling them in (not terrible but then again had the wood split then I would have wasted money) while the directions were simple it was a bit tricky with some bits where they didn't specify the "tall" side face a certain way, I was stuck for 10 minutes (not terrible but sucks) the ladder is a little to steep for my bunny but he is adjusting to it and I will be making my own custom ladder for him. I personally recommend securing the tray with a small cut of wood to slide in the one corner, and anyone who reads this the taller side of the weird shape side is on the side of the big door (front end) Overall my bun is happy I'm happy and will be working on some DIY adjustments to make it better suitable for outdoors :) not 158 after tax worth it but still happy to have it as he needed it asap ... show more

  • Decent Size, Easy to Move
Color: Grey
Our two Tamuk rabbits, their litter box(es), water dish, and feeder all fit nicely in the bottom of the hutch, with room for them to hop around and sprawl on the ground. (Their kitty brother likes to hang out in their hutch, too!) I've found that putting pine pellets (from our local feed supply store) in a layer underneath the hay in the upper story means that our babies don't have to sleep in wet hay if they pee up there. As far as cleaning goes, it's easy to clean the ground floor by simply lifting and scooting the hutch. You will want to get it resettled on the square, though, or else the doors don't latch easily. Construction required an electric drill, and there were a few missing holes. Some of the screws weren't quite long enough, which means that the roof's ridge-pole actually is not firmly attached. In Texas, that's actually a plus, as it will allow heat to escape in the summer. It's not the sturdiest of construction, but it should be fine for our purposes. I'm very satisfied with it! ... show more

  • Poor Quality Product
Color: Grey
I ordered this expecting for it to be small and maybe with small 2 x 2 but the frame is actually smaller. The wood is extremely soft that you can easily dig into it with a butter knife. The screws are not exterior wood screws and immediately started rusting within 2 weeks. The frame is unstable and seems like it will snap if you move it around. The wood cracks with the slightest movement. The drawer that is supposed to be the bottom of housing fell down within a month and could not support the weight of 2 month old chicks. The ladder broke off after 2 days. The “hardwire” cloth is a joke and you can bend and break it with minimal strength. There is NO WAY this animal housing can be used outdoors and protect your pet from a predator. I can go on and on. Definitely not worth $150. I regret buying this garbage. ... show more

  • Chick midway hutch
Color: Grey
I use this for the chicks that don’t need to be in the brooder, but can’t go in with the big chickens yet. I call it kindergarten. It has withstood many 30-40 mph winds and recent stood up to a pretty decent snow storm. It is the perfect size for a full hatch (around 18 adolescent chicks). It has show no signs of breaking down and I’ve been using it continually to keep my young birds safe and warm. ... show more

  • Well designed rabbit hutch
The pieces were easily identifiable, and a snap to put together. Pieces have dowels that ensure proper connection, and screws go into the dowel holes and into the dowels to make tight and rigid. Pretty impressive little hutch.
