I got this hutch for my bantam chickens. It was the perfect size and a cute set up. It was easy to put together. The material of the wood is pretty good and it's been very durable. Since it rains a bunch here, I sprayed it with flex seal which makes it easy to clean. I just spray it down with the hose. The wire is a good size so predators can't get it. This product was something I thought about purchasing for a long time- my little bunny needed an upgrade! I found this and really loved it, although I thought it was a little pricy- but I finally decided to just go for it. It was incredibly easy to put together— I did it myself in 15 minutes! The size was true to the description and the quality was better than I was expecting. Accessing the interior for cleaning and arranging is also very easy- thanks to the removable tray. The bottom of the hutch area is not secure. My rabbit has fallen through twice! This is dangerous, but I can alter to fix. Otherwise cute and neat design. I like all the different doors.

Like everything there are pros and cons to something and I will start with the main good things: GOOD THINGS TO KNOW: easy to build (some bads to building but still easy), the "bunny room" is nice and cozy looking, the roof is where that weight comes from and is sturdy, all parts were there (some issues but not god awful), most important need to know, BUN BUN SEEMS TO LIKE IT!! BAD THINGS ABOUT IT: to start it off, the tray does not have true sturdyness to it, I will be going in tomorrow to fix it up and secure it so my anxiety doesn't get to me, there were plenty of "pre-drill" holes missing resulting in freehand drilling them in (not terrible but then again had the wood split then I would have wasted money) while the directions were simple it was a bit tricky with some bits where they didn't specify the "tall" side face a certain way, I was stuck for 10 minutes (not terrible but sucks) the ladder is a little to steep for my bunny but he is adjusting to it and I will be making my own custom ladder for him. I personally recommend securing the tray with a small cut of wood to slide in the one corner, and anyone who reads this the taller side of the weird shape side is on the side of the big door (front end) Overall my bun is happy I'm happy and will be working on some DIY adjustments to make it better suitable for outdoors :) not 158 after tax worth it but still happy to have it as he needed it asap ... show more

I use this for the chicks that don’t need to be in the brooder, but can’t go in with the big chickens yet. I call it kindergarten. It has withstood many 30-40 mph winds and recent stood up to a pretty decent snow storm. It is the perfect size for a full hatch (around 18 adolescent chicks). I ordered this expecting for it to be small and maybe with small 2 x 2 but the frame is actually smaller. The wood is extremely soft that you can easily dig into it with a butter knife. The screws are not exterior wood screws and immediately started rusting within 2 weeks. The frame is unstable and seems like it will snap if you move it around. The wood cracks with the slightest movement. The drawer that is supposed to be the bottom of housing fell down within a month and could not support the weight of 2 month old chicks. The ladder broke off after 2 days. The “hardwire” cloth is a joke and you can bend and break it with minimal strength. There is NO WAY this animal housing can be used outdoors and protect your pet from a predator. I can go on and on. Definitely not worth $150. I regret buying this garbage. ... show more

The first one I ordered never even arrived. I requested a refund and ordered another unit. This one arrived two days later. Pros: it’s cute, easy to assemble, lightweight. Cons: it has a very strong smell, there’s no bottom, your animals will burrow out in a matter of hours, the locks on the doors are flimsy and are barely aligned, I don’t believe the materials will withstand any type of harsh weather, the wire mesh will need to be reinforcement. This could make a great indoor hutch for your animal if you put them away at night, but they will need supplemental space to play. This isn’t enough room for one rabbit let alone two. ... show more
