  • 850 degrees Fahrenheit within 2 minutes after ignition on full-blast
Color: Gray
The media could not be loaded. I'm very pleased with this patio heater. Lots to praise. A few cons. The pictures in the instructions are so clear, and the parts package is labeled so well, that you can assemble most of it just by looking at the pictures and the parts without having to read the instructions. It goes together easily and fast, except for the first step which is to load sand and water into the base. The hardware is of the sort that doesn't need lock washers to stay tight. The heater assembly works great. Mine got up to 850 degrees Fahrenheit in just 2 minutes, so comfort comes fast. You don't have to assemble the heater assembly at all. It comes pre-assembled and fully functional. All you have to do with the heater assembly is bolt it to the center pole and then bolt the heat reflector on top of the heater assembly. The hardest step, besides filling the base, was getting the blue-protective film off of the heat reflector segments before bolting it together. It's easy to access the on/off valve for the propane tank ( which you supply) and it's easy to place the propane-tank-cover in a position on top of the 3-legged bow, where it will stay out of your way while you exchange an empty propane tank for a full tank. Just make sure that the bottom rim of the cover is "trapped" by the bolts that connect the center pole to the 3-legged bow, or you risk having the cover drop mercilessly onto your hand or forearm. Cons: The first assembly step is to load the base with sand and water. Well it doesn't come with sand, so you have to go buy sand. Which is a good time to buy or rent a propane tank too. I used concrete instead of sand. Took a bit of work but I will never have to revisit the task of weighting down the base. The 3 square-metal-tubes that bow around the propane tank are not very robust, so the whole assembly is a bit wobbly and doesn't endure being moved with a propane tank in place, even when the tank is "secured" by the safety strap. My advice: Don't move it with a tank in place, even if it is strapped-in. Even if the tank is empty. (Despite the lack of rigidity in the 3-arm-bow-to-pole-connection, the unit is safe, and I believe it will last for years if treated with proper care and respect.) You have to maintain a minimum clearance of 4 feet on all sides, and 4 feet above it, or risk lighting objects that are any closer on fire. Also, while I am on the topic of safety protocols, I say with apology, especially if this insults your intelligence, don't use it indoors or you will murder everyone inside by way of carbon monoxide poisoning, i.e., chemical suffocation. Again. Sorry for stating what should be obvious. This is for outdoor use only. (Hey, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ some people don't know.) ... show more

  • My porch is no longer no mans land in winter
Color: Gray
I must say, I'm impressed. This little (not really little) heater has made my porch quite nice even in the coldest of weather. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for snow to fall now because I know that I can sit out on my porch with a nice hot cup of hot cocoa and watching the snow fall while still staying toasty because of the wonderful heat this puts out. It doesn't go through the propane near as fast as I thought it would. It was also very easy to assemble as long as you follow the instructions. ... show more

  • Love It!
Color: Gray
This was pretty easy to assemble and actually came in a smaller box than I had imagined. Once ignited, the burner creates noticeable warmth 10-15 feet away. It’s easy to light and straightforward to adjust. I like the satin gray finish, easier to keep clean than stainless, but still looks nice. My main complaint would be that the interior structure that holds up the pole is a little less sturdy than I’d like. Heavy winds could bend the mounts and leave you with a leaning pole. So, I guess be careful where you keep the heater if it gets windy. ... show more

  • Very well made
Color: Gray
This a a very well made outdoor heater. The structure is sturdy, durable and looks great. It is not difficult to assemble, the instructions were easy to follow. It does take a little time but the end result is great. It is heavy, but to to heavy that it is hard to move around. There are wheels on the bottom of the base, so it can be moved around. It is sturdy when it is upright. It looks great, the powder coating is a dark grey and it looks very sleek. It is very easy to use and it really heats up a large area. I was surprised how quickly it warmed up. It is great for outdoor patios. I dont know if you want to leave it out in the elements, I will be getting a cover for when I am done using it so that it does not get ruined. It is so nice I want to make sure that it lasts a long time. This is a great patio heater and I am so glad that I got it. It is very well made and it is durable and works great. ... show more

  • Great looking and great performance
Color: Gray
The media could not be loaded. We have two older space heaters but we extended our deck and needed an additional one so we order this one. The grey color just goes perfect with our furniture and we love the fact that you can fill it with water or sand. We filled it with water just because the hole is not too big and it might be too much work to pack all the sand in it and the water will do the weighting job just fine. The instructions are GREAT! That is so important!!! Usually we battle with poor instructions and is a headache. All the stainless steel pieces arrived perfectly covered with a blue film to protect it from scratches which we really appreciate the care they put in it even though is tedious to remove the film. All the pieces and the wrench tool came separately and included. Easy to put it together but of course time consuming but you have to do it right. My husband did it in about an hour or so. We took it out and installed the propane tank. Turned it on and at the first attempt it turned on like magic!!! Our other space heaters take several attempts to turn on. It works great!!! The heat that provides can be regulated to your needs but if you want it very warm, it will provide you with a super warm and cozy heating. We absolutely love it and highly recommend it!!! ... show more
