Thatcher arrived today, well packaged, everything was accounted for. It took less than an hour to assemble, hooked to ATV added two concrete blocks for weight. Thatched 1acre, worked flawlessly, well pleased with product.

This is an entry level dethatcher but it managed to pull up 5 years of thatch in my lawn. Not sure how long it will last but if I get three uses out of it (and I'm sure it will), it will have paid for itself. I would definitely buy this again. For those who are not completely familiar with dethatching, keep in mind this loosens and pulls the thatch to the surface. You'll still need to rake it all up which is 90% of the work. Upon first use, you'll think you tore up your lawn and ruined it but after raking it'll look so much better.

What a great addition to my yard equipment. Works well and really gets the job done. The lever is a little too loose so you have to be careful it kinda just goes down whenever you go forward, so it might engage on a solid surface you don’t want it to.

Overall it's a well designed machine. I would've preferred to see more of a solid axle design for the wheels but otherwise well thought out in my opinion. Seems sturdy enough to do what it's meant to do. I've seen a few mentions lack or quality instructions for assembly. It comes with a book with pictures, it's pretty clear, I've seen five year olds build Lego's more complicated from pictures so the average adult can surely handle it.

This cheap thing works pretty darn good. A bit weird putting it together towards the end, but it worked out. You'll see what I mean. I got the 48 inch. Glad I did. I like how it is perfectly aggressive to pull up all of the dead, laid-down crap. Pulls up the leaves in pockets from over the winter. Overall impressed. I did about 1.5 acres and the grass is trying to "High-5" me!
