One person can assemble, two would be easier. If you want to shred leaves not for you. It is well built, run smooth, starts right up. I tow it with my lawn tractor works great. Chipping branches up to 3 inches, you don’t even need to think about it, this machine will devour them. 3.5 to 5 inches cut into 4 foot lengths and it will do it. It allows the piece to bounce and the blade to keep up speed.

This is my first woodchipper but the learning curve was pretty short. Assembly was pretty straight foreword except for the input shute. To connect the hinges I had to resort to violence with a piece of wood and hammer to convince it to go in. On the other hand once you get the shute on it is very convenient to move the shute to the side to unjam the cutter. BTW all chippers are rated at the biggest circumference they will cut for example 3", 4" and so on. BUT they do not specify length!! This one is rated at 4" but if I throw a 4" with a length of 6 ft in the motor will bog down and will likely jam. I figured out if the limb is only 2" dia the limb can be longer but if I throw in a 4" I'll keep it 2 ft or less. Also some advice: If you think you'll be doing a lot on thick limbs I recommend going with a chipper with a higher rating of about 2 " over what you think you'll need...if you can afford it. Overall I like the product and recommend it! UPDATE: Ordered replacement cutters/blades from their website but through that process learned that their Customer Service is terrible. Finally did receive the blades over a month after ordering.
