abunda_amazon_reviews The ad says this is the most comfortable seat. Well, I have some bad news. Me: 5' 10" man with an average build. Riding recumbent bikes outdoors for 20 years. Former seating engineer for a large automotive supplier. I know some things about comfort. When I first climbed on the bike, I was impressed with the adjustment mechanisms. How could I not get comfortable? I tried everything, but no matter what, I felt I was sliding forward with no lumbar support, or if I skooched rearward to get some back support, then my backside was hanging off the rear edge of the seat cushion and the backs of my thighs were banging on the front edge of the cushion. I just could not get comfortable! Look closely at the manufacturer's video and you'll see the model is having the same problem. I found the seat cushion was too far forward in relation to the seatback. After some experiments, I solved the problem by adding a spacer block to the seatback (see photos). I tried several thicknesses and settled on 4 inches. I'm still deciding if I should return the bike or live with my modifications. Otherwise, I like the bike. If I keep it, I'll update this review with more information. I rely on user reviews to help me find good products. I'm really disappointed this bike received so many positive reviews and no one mentioned this problem. Please mark this review as helpful, so others can benefit from my experience. Other small problems: Control panel was cocked to the left. I re-mounted the support arm while pushing it to the right, and it's better now. Too much slop in the screw holes. The plastic finish is terrible on the base with swirl marks and many imperfections. Just aesthetics. The power plug is at the rear. Why? Everyone will place the bike in front of a TV, so the plug should be in the front! I added wire routing accessories to correct this. The wire is also very flimsy. If you run over it, the wires will break. Many other reviews mention power supply failures. I suspect this is from broken wires.;;Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2019;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Poorly Designed Seat needs a 4-inch spacer block!;;rick;;;I have now owned my 3G Cardio Elite RB Recumbent Bike for 3 months, and wanted to wait to write a review until I had a chance to give it a good test. I love this bike. It's as good a quality as the one I used in my Physical Therapy sessions, but probably cost at least a thousand dollars less. The set up directions and format were easy enough to follow, and I did it myself (the hardest part was getting it out of the box). A helper would make it a little faster and easier, but it's not necessary if you have any experience in equipment set up. I did have two very minor issues right away, but they did not keep me from using the bike. I called 3G Cardio Service, and they quickly arranged for a service tech to come out and make the repairs. He did an excellent job, and, being under warranty, there was no charge. Now that I know how to use all the dials and adjustments, I am able to enjoy the bike even more. It takes some trial and error to figure it all out, but ultimately, it's not a long learning curve. My favorite feature would have to be the seat. To begin with, it is very comfortable, but what makes it special is that you can adjust the angle of the mesh seat back...a feature not found on any of the low priced recumbent bikes, and rarely on more expensive ones. It allows you to completely customize the comfort factor to your exact preference. Let's be honest, if you're not comfortable on any piece of workout equipment, you're probably not going to want to use it very often. So, to summarize, this bike is very comfortable, extremely quiet, very substantial (it doesn"t move when I get the speed and resistance humming), has a small foot print and it looks great. I would unequivocally recommend the 3G Cardio Elite RB to anyone looking to purchase a reasonably priced, high quality bike. John G. My wife and I are apartment dwellers, so space and noise are always primary concerns. Comfortable adjustable mesh seat, extremely quiet (except for squeaking of the seat column at higher intensity pedaling, something the manufacturer should address), decent variety of programs, smallest footprint of any recumbent stationary bike I researched. Relatively easy to assemble if you're somewhat handy, however the pedal straps take a little muscle to install. They have to be stretched slightly to install, and soaking them for a few seconds in warm water will make them more pliable. It's totally not neccessary. If this guy used the 2 seat adjustment levers he would have known the manufacturer allows for more than enough adjustments to make it comfortable for every size user. It only took me an hour to assemble, and is very straight forward to do so. I had the delivery guy place in my front hall, then I unpacked each piece and moved to my desired location, then I had my wife help me move the heavier bike base to this room. From there I was able to easily assemble the bike. This bike was so easy to assemble. Even the hardware packets had exploded views to show where each bolt, screw, and nut went to.
