When it arrives, This very shrink wrapped package is so thin! As soon as you open the plastic, it expands like crazy. So only open this when you are ready to use it. If you are moving into an apartment or dorms, wait until you get there. There is a slight tackiness in the back but you also get some sticky tabs to affix this to the wall. In my case, I put it on my door to try to stifle my dog barking when I’m on calls. I had no problem putting this on the door because the surface is smooth. If you have texture on the wall, maybe use some Velcro strips from Command Hooks. That may leave less residue in the wall as well. This won’t make your room sound proof because there’s only six but it can certainly help cut out the really loud noises. Perfect for living next to people or a dog that barks every time a leaf outside falls!

Worked perfectly to dampen my Fiancés drumset. My baby sleeps right through him playing. Use caution, most of them are super sticky! 😅 I dropped one on my floor and it was a pain to get back up. Only had one or two pieces that didn’t want to stay.

I chose these for my son's drum shed so our neighbors don't get completely bugged out and come after us with pitchforks. I was expecting to not hear the drumming at all from the outside of the shed once these were all put up. However, what I got was a slightly lowered thumping. We shall see if these appease the neighbors, because they at least take out the tinny sound of the cymbals and some of the higher tones of the drums. There is still clearly a drummer having a good time in the shed, but perhaps his rhythms won't get completely stuck in everyone's head now.
