  • Decent LARGE Rack
Size: 8U Space / 11U Top w/ Casters
So far, this is a nice case. Two 'issues': There are no rear rails; rails are only only on one side. Also, the thing is VERY awkward to lift (say into your car). When full of gear, it's very heavy, but to grab the handles and lift it up is awkward due to the width of the case. You can't get leverage when using the handles to lift. I end up grabbing one handle and a corner of the thing to lift it. Lifting is easier than lowering it. This is really not a 'fault' of the case and that's why I've not dinged it on its rating, but it's good info. The case rolls nicely and I didn't have the 'bent edge' issue that some have mentioned. The directions also weren't a problem for me, as they seemingly were for others. I DID have a few things where the gear wouldn't align with the screw holes, but I worked it out without too much issue. The slant top is a really nice feature. I'm using this for an IEM mixer rack [Presonus 24R SL III], bass amp rack [GK MB800], Wireless mic receiver [Senn], wireless guitar unit [Shure GLDX4], router [Linksys], and IEM receiver [Senn] are also installed. I used to have all this stuff in two cases (a 4U and a 3U) but wanted to consolidate. My next review will be for a back brace ;) ... show more

  • Great case...some broken rivets.
Size: 14U Side / 11U Top / 2 Side Tables
Great case. Heavy, strong, rigid. Loses points for having several broken rivets on the handles.

  • So far it seems fine.
Size: 10U Space / 11U Top w/ Casters
I just spent a lot of money on other equipment and needed a quick rack to store my gear on the cheap. For the people leaving poor reviews and saying for the price they expected better quality. I would say these racks are super inexpensive compared to other brands. What I can say so far as I just recieved it is: it came perfectly intact. The build for the price seems quite good. What I expect from cases I have owned in the past with the same type if outer paneling, do not leave it in the hot sun. It will probably warp. We'll see how it fairs with use. My equipment is heavy and this case will see a fair share of beating. I didn't have any dents or missing hardware when it arrived like mentioned in 1 star ratings. It came perfect and well packed. The caster wheels seem sturdy. Not trying to talk down on the brand, however, like mentioned above- the price point is low. My low point so far, is the rachet seems a bit flimsy. I can see it possibly failing. So I hope this case last me for a bit until I can afford more expensive brands. But, I haven't even taken it out once yet. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised and it will last for several years. So far I like it and it looks good. I will update my review after some use. ... show more

  • Awesome
Size: 8U Space / 11U Top w/ Casters
Some assembly is required (in order for the case to ship as small as possible, the wheels are put inside the case as opposed to how it looks in the pictures – just make sure you have a Philipp's head screwdriver/drill and you'll be set. DIdn't take me any longer than 10 mins to finish building it. Directions were a tad unclear – there are 2 screw bags that this ships with: 1 bag of smaller silver screws for racking any of your gear (I chose my own screws for that) and the other bag of bigger black screws for casters & mounting the board to the case. Soon as it's built though it can house quite the rig! Hard to find a 13U top + 8U front rolling rack that takes up as little space as this one does despite fitting whatever you could possibly need. Love the fact that the unit comes with holes for padlocking on each close-end. Rolls super smooth and the 2 wheel locks are great. Happy camper! ... show more

  • Sharp looking rack
Size: 12U Side / 11U Top / Side Table
I was a little nervous after reading some of the other reviews, but figured if it didn't work out, Amazon has a great return policy. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I was almost able to give it a 5 star rating. First off, it has sturdy construction and the casters are heavy duty. My only mark off is because one of the mounting holes was not threaded. The piece that was installed in that position was light, so I opted to go with just three mounting screws. I could have used a small bolt as an alternative. The side table option is useful. The table fits into some brackets on the side of the case. There is no locking mechanism for these side brackets. I was concerned that the table might get bumped and our side equipment would fall on the floor. So I bolted a small piece of wood over top of the brackets to secure the table connector from coming loose. Overall, very happy. A big improvement. And the top shelf was perfect for our Behringer X32 producer mixer. I am not able to fit the top cover on, but I don't care. ... show more

  • Vertical Hole Spacing Conforms to the EIA/ECA-310-E 1.75" Rack Unit (RU) Standard
Size: 12U Side / 12U Top w/ Casters
I have a Samson SRK21 and the vertical hole spacing pattern conforms to the same 1.75-inch Rack Unit specification (formally an "RU" or colloquially a "U") found in standard telcom, server, and audio racks, cabinets, panels or enclosures. The fact that the SRK21 rack conforms to the spec of the standard is not made clear by Samson or Amazon on either of their websites, tech specs, or datasheets. The SRK21 has 21 RUs or 36.75 inches of rack-mountable space. (21RUs x 1.75" per RU = 36.75 inches.) A standard 1.75-inch Rack Unit spec means that there are typically three holes within each RU (there is also a two-hole spec in the same standard) and each of the holes is equally spaced 5/8" apart, when measured on center. Then each group of three equally spaced holes is separated from other groups of three equally spaced holes by 1/2", when measured on center. This can give the appearance that some holes are off center if you don't keep track of where one RU begins or ends in the vertical hole spacing. The easiest way to keep track of each RU is to find three holes equally spaced apart or to count three holes at a time from the bottom or top of the rack. The way to find where an RU begins or ends is to look for the holes that are 1/2" apart; a given RU begins or ends halfway between any two holes 1/2" apart. ... show more
