It's compact, it's solid, it's soooo easy to assemble and I'm saying that as a man with hands like a snake, the letters DIY strike fear into my mechanically-impaired heart. But with the easy-to-follow instructions, I had these together in 20 minutes and was using it in 21. Honestly, it's the best home-studio purchase I could have ever made. On the slightly negative side, the little shelf that comes with it to rest a laptop or folders on is too small, but that's a minor complaint. The product seems like it is well designed. However it did not come with the crossbar so I can't attach my microphone to the stand. I saw another comment that said they were missing the crossbar, returned the entire product, re-ordered a new one and it was still missing the crossbar. For that reason I am not returning the product and will be spending more money to try and find the piece I need. So I can't recommend this product since it seems to not come with all the pieces. ... show more

Works pretty well! Spent a few hours using it while recording the current episode of my podcast. It works! It definitely reduced some of the ambient noise in my house that will sometimes "leak" into the studio (I'm about to add more sound paneling). It is worth getting, with a small caution.
