For those musically and recording inclined: These panels do the job well, they lowered the room noise by a few decibels and really helped with my bass traps. Distortions due to outside sounds were also significantly dulled, I had a very low ringing bass sound due to the air conditioner outside my room, and these panels cut that noise significantly, still trying to find exactly how many decibels. I used these panels in my drum room, and can hear the difference in the quality of my recordings with and without the acoustic foam. For everyone: They look like the picture, no off coloring or weird one in the bunch. There was no included adhesive, but I just thumb tacked them to the wall with no issues. The panels are a foot by foot, but I would venture to say that the 1 in thick can be a little misleading, as the 1 inch thickness is on the waves of the block rather than the block as a whole. Overall: They help! They make things sound better and is a cheaper solution for people just getting into home recording and studio set ups. Could you find better, definitely, but we all gotta start somewhere, and these are pretty good for me.

I built a pine anechoic box and lined it with this product. Note: Do NOT open the bag at all until you are ready to have it expand because as soon as you do, even a bit, it expands a lot. It is soft foam with /\/\/\/\/\ shape, cut slightly larger than advertised. None of the panels failed to expand, and did so quickly. Double-sided tape does NOT work very well. To test how effective it is at dampening sound, I turned on both my window fan, which is noisy and 3' from my box, and my standing fan, which is 5' away, and used a phone app to measure the dBA. I installed them with standard white glue/stick glue or Gorilla double-sided heavy-duty tape but there was almost no sound dampening. I doubled the foam on three sides and bottom, but not the lid side or the top simply by placing them in the box abutting the installed ones. On top of the box, fans on: 56 dBA Inside of the box, closed, fans on: 47.4 dBA That's only, what, a 16% improvement? I have no idea how people got 50% or more! One person mentioned putting a space between the foam and the wall, so I may work on figuring out how to do that. At this point, given the results, I wouldn't recommend this product. At least I've still got a lot of it and I hope I can figure out a solution using the rest to make it worthwhile. Update 11/3/23 I was contacted this week by the vendor, Adam Woods of DASolutions, saying that they wanted to make it right. They offered me a material replacement or a $50 Amazon gift card code. I asked about the former but, instead, the person responded with information about the code. Several things were amiss in this exchange aside from the incorrect response: 1) The emails came from a gmail account, not from Amazon or the seller via Amazon. 2) The email came 2.5 months after I put up the review. I guess they were searching for my email address. 3) There is suspicious text in the emails. 4) Deleting a review for compensation is a violation of Amazon's terms for vendors. 5) All of the 1-3 star VENDOR reviews have been crossed out with a note that apparently comes from Amazon taking full responsibility, despite the fact that the product is NOT fulfilled by Amazon (it comes from China). 6) I cannot put up a vendor review because it directs me to a completely different vendor.

You’re definitely getting value for the price you’re paying, as it comes in a pack of 52, but if you’re trying to place these in an area with any amount of humidity, double sided tape is NOT going to work. I purchased these with the recommended pack from ‘frequently purchased together’ and honestly, skip it. Try something more permanent like construction adhesive. You’ll be able to use half of the box right away, but the other half needs time to expand. I learned my lesson from being impatient. That said, they look great on the wall, they’re easy to cut (should you need to), and once they expand, they have adequate firmness and thickness. I bought these to dampen the echo in the basement and will probably buy more since they work so well.

These are super astetic and look great you just have to make sure you secure every corner of each one. I got these to suppress my voice while I play my game at night lol and haven’t heard my gf complain since (ps5 is in the basement she’s upstairs) she used to complain almost every night that I was talking too loud. Anyways yeah buy them it’s worth it for a pack of 50, just strategically place them in your room so it absorbes the bass of your voice.

The media could not be loaded. These work great! Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews. I am an Author and write from my home office, however, I am also a full time fur Mom to 8 Howling Huskies! Upon first receiving, you may be disappointed at the apparent size. You may be further irritated when you see that you have to let them breathe for 24 hours to expand, or wash and dry them for faster results. However, I'm lazy and did neither of these things. I slapped 'em up on the wall with some mod podge 10 minutes after opening them. I used glue bc I had it, and glue dots didn't stick (not even the ones for foam panels). Some of them I used a staple gun where I couldn't glue, and that worked fine too. At the end of the day, you get 52 of them and they're cheap. If you have the appropriate expectations, you will be happy with them. My huskies can sing all day long and I can still work, with the sound being dramatically reduced. For me, definitely worth the price!
