yeah, the adhesive is pretty terrible, and the seem to shrink or move apart somehow. I have gaps that weren't there when I installed them.

I've now ordered the pyramid and the egg carton. Egg carton is self adhesive, the pyramids were not. In my opinion, you're better off buying the pyramid version as they are way denser, taller and more worth the money. The down side is, you have to find a way to stick them to your wall. I bought no name brand sticky picture hangers off Amazon for that. The self adhesive egg cartons are extremely thin in the dimple/valley spots. The humps are not very dense or tall. All in all, you're better off with the pyramid shape

I purchased this 36-pack of SD SODOCT acoustic foam panels to help dampen the echo in my room, and they absolutely deliver on the audio front. The two-inch thickness and high-density egg crate design really make a noticeable difference in sound quality for recording and gaming. It is incredibly convenient to buy these in such a large bulk pack because you get plenty of coverage for a whole wall without having to place multiple orders. The foam itself expands nicely and looks very professional once mounted. The only real downside I encountered is with the built-in adhesive backing. While it seems to hold up perfectly fine on standard painted drywall, it did not stick to my window well at all. The panels I placed on the glass peeled away and fell down almost immediately. If you plan to block out sound over a window or stick these to very smooth glass surfaces, you will definitely need to invest in some heavy-duty double-sided tape or command strips. Besides that specific issue, these are fantastic panels and well worth the investment for a home studio.

I grabbed these hoping to tone down the noise in my office, and now I’m side-eyeing the rest of my house like… do you also need a glow-up? First off, installation was almost suspiciously easy. Peel, stick, done. No tools, no drama, no “why is this falling off the wall at 2am” situation. They actually stay put, which already puts them above a lot of things I’ve tried. The difference in sound is immediate. Before: every call sounded like I was speaking inside a cereal bowl. After: way more clear, less echo, and I don’t cringe hearing myself talk anymore. The 2-inch thickness definitely does its job. Also, the egg-crate look gives that low-key studio vibe without trying too hard. Functional but still kind of aesthetic if you lay them out right. ✔️ Noticeably reduces echo and background noise ✔️ Super easy peel-and-stick setup ✔️ Thick enough to actually make a difference ✔️ Lightweight and easy to arrange I liked them enough that I’m already ordering more to finish the space, which says a lot because I’m usually a “good enough, leave it” person. Final verdict: If your room sounds like a cave or your Zoom calls are giving “recorded in a tunnel,” these are 100% worth it. ** i did have to order wallpaper spray to do touch ups at the end, but they’re definitely stuck on great!
