I use a fiber optic USB-C cable to connect controllers and DAC/AMPs from my PC to the couch. This is the only USB-C hub I've seen that has a female USB-C port as input, every other hub I've seen has a built in USB-C cable. Of course a fiber optic USB-C cable can't deliver much power so I can't really connect more than one device that requires power, but the 5gbps USB-C port supports PD input and output so I can connect a USB-C charger to that port to power the rest of the ports on the hub.

The longer cable gets all of the plugged in items away from my laptop port. This hub is simple and not cluttered with often unused ports. I have been waiting for just a simple hub with highly efficient ports and this really fits my needs. I strongly recommend.

Ordered 5 of these now. All of them after less than a week the USB Type A ports quit working. Meaning any mouse and keyboard plugged in never work. Do not buy if you want to use any USB accessories.

The RT-CR312C USB hub from Rocketek is a solid little box that provides you with a total of seven USB ports: three USB-A and four USB-C, one with a high power ("PD") output. This product arrived in an easy-to-open box that was curiously void of any manufacturer labeling, not even the brand name. The hub was bagged and inserted into a plastic tray. The cable was wound and bound inside a zippered bag. The hub's housing is aluminum, not plastic. You'll find the base is a high-friction polymer once you remove its protective film. The hub is heavier than it looks, almost like a portable SSD disk drive. It feels substantial when you hold it. The User Manual is a folded, 10-panel booklet with a line diagram of the device and descriptions in seven languages. There's only a couple errors in this book (eg, "Pedora" instead of "Fedora"), and one term that is undefined: PD. I did a web search to find this stands for "power delivery" and is a high-power output specification for USB-C. That is, it will charge your phone faster than a regular USB port. The included black USB-C cable is serviceable, if a little stiff. In use the hub connected to the computer as you would expect, set itself up, and transmitted signals from every device I plugged into it to the computer. Presently I have an external hard disk, 1080p web camera, and a charging base plugged into the USB-A ports, and a microphone connected to a USB-C port. All these devices are working just as if they were connected directly to the computer. Given the product materials and build quality, along with the device's performance, I am very happy with it. Once I build my new desk I will be able to stash this hub in the cable management tray and out of sight. I have no problem recommending this product. This kit is made in China.

Small, solid, fast, USB C and USBa 3.0 inputs. No power plugin wall wart...Good!! Yet, my 1st one ( I returned it), took 18 mins to be recognized. I thought it was DOA. But, every time 18 min after Windows loaded, the little green power light came on. I tested, and trouble shooted. Hooked up other devices, which powered up immediately. Different length high speed cables were tested. Nope! 18 mins! I even googled this to see if it was common. Thus, I decided to return and reorder, hoping this was a fluke. By-the-way, the replacement process with Amazon, was quite smooth. I did phone contact them, and explained my desire to return and repurchase, and the real human assistance was what made everything go swiftly. I tested the second unit. It also does not auto switch on after Windows finishes loading everything. But most of the time, it only takes between 2 and 10 mins. Comparatively faster, but still unacceptable for a professional piece of equipment! Since I absolutely need this for my Drone and Photography business, I have to settle for it. It's hard to find a specific unit, with the features this has, from other companies. All other products when connected to my Hi speed USB C socket, whether other hubs, cameras, audio input devices, Loopdeck, Faderport, on and on, work as soon as Windows 10 loads them.

I recommend this device to anyone who is looking for a fast and reliable USB C and USB A dock. The USB-C Hub expands a single Type-C port into 4 USB-C ports up to 10Gbps, and it also supports the simultaneous connection of peripheral devices. The USB-C 3.1 port is amazing as it can transfer HD movies and large files to my MacBook in seconds. The three 10Gbs USB-C Gen 2 and three 5Gbs USB 3.0 ports are incredibly fast as well, and when using all ports simultaneously, the total shared data is 10Gbs. In my testing, I was able to get advertised Write speed for USB C but Read was slower for some reason. The USB A was the opposite where write was slower and read was faster. However, they are within the ball park figures. The power port of USB-C Hub supports up to 100W power input and up to 85W (safe) power output to charge laptops and tablets. I am able to safely charge my laptop while connecting multiple peripherals for data transfer and hassle-free power storage. This USB-C Hub 10Gbps is compatible with all Apple products with USB-C and any other computers with USB-C ports, as well as USB-C smartphones and tablets with OTG support. I appreciate that the compact size and plug and play feature of the USB-C Gen 2 Hub Adapter make it easy to carry and use when traveling, at home, or at the office. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this USB C Hub to anyone looking for a high-quality, fast, and versatile hub.
