My T480S, i7 core, bought in 2020 with win10 pro from amazon. This is a good product and works as advertised. I have successfully used it to revive two laptops (one of which I am using to submit this review). Directions are clear and easy to follow. I did have a question and emailed their support and got a very quick and helpful reply.

    • Great tool to have
A friend had an old computer that she wanted to know where to dispose of it. I'd donated several old desktops and some laptops that get donated to schools and to people who might need one to learn or work from home. She said hers would not turn on. I couldn't find a power button on the monitor until later. I bought a new 1TB HD and this item to install a Windows system on. Without my doing anything, it booted from the USB drive and I had to select which of the several Windows installations I wanted. Home, Education or Pro and some other variations of them. You know, it takes a while to get Windows up and working but it was flawless. I'm glad I have this little unit as I can use it to install on other units (I didn't activate the installation even though I played with it for a few days to update drivers, etc, and make sure it would be perfect for that person who inherits it. The USB comes with a set of instructions, which did not solve the problem I encountered. The instructions were not clear, lacked substance, and did not work, but the big problem is - whoever wrote the instructions is not a technical writer. A waste of money and a waste of time. My problem actually became worse after I used the USB. I think it destroyed the BIOS on my Acer Nitro5 17" laptop. After use I can no longer access the bios. Before I used the device I was able to access the BIOS I'll trash the laptop. EXPENSIVE and useless device. Go to their website before you purchase and read their instructions,.     • Perfect for a quick repair
Booted up the ol' laptop the other evening and suddenly it's decided that it's got a corrupted driver and can't boot without a Win10 recovery drive to help repair it: error 0xc000000f. Silly me had never thought to create one beforehand, and now I had neither a computer to download the tool for, nor a 16GB USB drive to install it on. Enter this nice little USB drive that comes with the tool pre-installed on it for marginally more than an empty USB drive would have cost me. For six bucks plus a couple more for fastest possible delivery, I go to bed and wake up the next morning with the drive already sitting on my porch waiting for me.     • Insane download speed for a USB drive/ IT DOES NOT COME WITH SUPPORT FOR ETHERNET
it only took me 15 mins to download windows, but it didnt have alot of drivers I needed because my motherboard does not have the WIFI module because of a tight budget, so I put the drivers for ethernet on the usb myself and it works great highly recommend but make sure you put the drivers on it. IT DOES NOT COME WITH SUPPORT FOR ETHERNET MAKE SURE U PUT DRIVERS IN FOLDER ON USB THROUGH LAPTOP ... show more
