I highly recommend using an inline 250-amp fuse and a 12-volt disconnect switcher for future maintenance. I use 1/0 wire from the battery PLUS side to the disconnect switch, to the 250-amp fuse, and then to the converter. 1/0 wire from the battery NEG side straight to the converter. Very nice unit

I bought this converter and was so busy I forgot to open it right away. When I did open it to try and use it it doesn’t work at all (Broken) I was highly upset that was 160 down the drain. And I couldn’t return it cause I was one day late smh. I would not recommend unless you want to gamble with your funds
