This doesn't look like anything you'd really think of - until you need it. I've had other portable jump starters like this and they're pretty much a "must have" for me. This has a good bit of power behind it, doesn't take long to charge, and is as easy to use as any. I haven't (fortunately) had a battery go dead since picking it up, but as far as the procedure it uses - well, there's not much variation you can really have in this. It's simple to use and simple to understand. A good plus for this aside from its power rating is the case it comes in. The others I've had have offered the same cables and such, but left them loose. This has a nice, hard case to keep the unit, the jumper cables, the instructions and USB cable in. The display on the unit is nice and large and easy to read, which is another plus. It makes good use of the size of the unit to enhance its readability, which I appreciate. And of course, the ability to charge USB devices and the (fairly standard) flashlight are always helpful to have. I consider these sorts of chargers/starters to be a "must have" in any car. Size the rating to the engine you have, of course, but it's very nice (and helps, safety wise) if you can just pop the hood, clip one of these on and go if your battery dies versus having to call, hope and wait - without these I've had waits of hours for roadside assistance or a family member to be able to get to me, sometimes in awful weather or late at night. It's a solid investment.

This is a medium to high capacity lithium ion jump starter rated at 3000A. The output generated by this power pack should be sufficient for any sedan, large SUV or even big turbo diesel truck. It comes with the battery pack, jumper cables, and a USB-C charging cable to charge the jump starter itself. The AC wall adapter to charge the jump pack is not included. This jump starter is fairly large in size but very light in weight. This is one of the few jump packs that is not plastic welded together so I took the opportunity to see what is inside. Aside from the electronics and display at the top and the lithium polymer battery pack at the bottom, there is a lot of empty space inside. My guess is the manufacturer can use the same case for different sized battery packs, a common practice in the industry. The battery pack is shrunk-wrapped in blue plastic and I could not see the capacity rating, but I estimate that the size is proportionate with the capacity rating. The jumper cables seem to be good quality with thick cables and copper clamps. Everything fits nicely into a semi-rigid case, which I can throw into the glovebox of my truck, and it should fit into most glove compartments or center consoles. There is a big built-in LED flashlight on one end of the pack that can help you see when it is dark. The jump pack features important safety protections such as reverse polarity to prevent frying a car’s electronics. This jump pack features a large digital display that shows the battery charge level as a percentage. There are two USB-A ports that can be used to power other electronics and serve as a battery backup, very useful when you’re stranded and your phone is dead. The single USB-C port is only for charging the jump pack. If you plug this into your phone, it will drain your phone’s battery to charge the jump pack. Out of the box, the jump pack came fully charged at 100%, so I decided to try it out. To test the jump pack, I have an old car battery with a bad cell that I installed into my truck. The old battery still had a charge, but only showed 10.8 volts of output. Connections are very simple. The battery clamps are color coded, so just match the red to positive and black to ground. I connected the jump pack to the battery terminals and it did not turn over right away. I let it charge for a few more minutes and was able to start my truck on the second try. The display on the jump pack showed it was down to 54% afterwards, so it might be good for another round before needing a full charge. Overall, I am very impressed with this jump starter. It is powerful and easy to use, giving me the peace of mind need when I’m driving. It is really a must have for any car owner, and if you do find yourself stranded out in the middle of nowhere and your car battery is dead, you won’t have to call AAA and you can just jump it yourself.

this jump starter works just fine, I do not have a way to test the 3000A claim since a large diesel engine pickup would need less than 700 amps to start and even a semi truck would need less than 1500 amps, Gas engines need less than Diesels. I always found it strange the amount of peak amperage it can deliver is the selling point of these. What really matters is the amp hour rating of the battery since this will determine how many cranks you get out of one, this one claims 16000mah and this does seem to be correct. The built in flashlight is more than bright enough to be useful and the hard case it comes with is of good quality. It can of course charge a cell phone and be used as a regular battery bank if need be. Its definitely a good idea to have a jump pack like this one in your trunk they can really save you when you're in a bind, I think this one would be a perfectly good option. Top it off every 6 to 6 months or so to make sure it's good and you should not have to worry about running down your car battery and getting stranded.

Great quick recharge kit to have on hand. I drive a british car that loses charge in cold weather. Having this recharge kit available to me at all times gives me great peace of mind! Everything you need, in a well-constructed, compact case. Haven’t needed it yet as it’s warm weather now, but I look forward to having it with me at all times, and no longer having to worry about having a dead battery. It’s convenient for anyone, but as a woman, I appreciate not having to rely on strangers when I’m by myself, particularly at night. Wish I’d gotten this sooner—it would’ve saved me a lot of grief. I think everyone should have one in each of their vehicles.

When holding this jump pack in your hand it can only be described as cheap feeling. I don’t know how much i will use it. Most likely i will use it more for my phone or other items, not necessarily for starting a car. It is made of cheap plastic, and the connections do not feel that sturdy. There is no info about power ratings anywhere. The only nice thing is the large lcd display. I don’t know if i would recommend this. Maybe if you just want something to keep in you glove box, for peace of mind, it is alright. But if you use one a lot like me, I would keep shopping.
