Three weeks ago I fractured both my left fibula and tibia (two bones connecting the knee and ankle) from falling off of the stairs. Since then, I have not been able to stand or walk on my left foot and won't be able to for another few months as per my orthopedic surgeon. As you could predict and imagine while reading my review, safety issues around the house have now become my top priority. My fiancé and I got this pair of three-suction-cup handle bars to install on the two walls around the bathtub so that I could safely get in and out of the shower, and whoa, these did not disappoint! As my fiancé "tried" to install one on our acrylic made shower wall just to test its proper location for me and its stickiness, he, as a 200-lb stocky man, could not even take it off. The three suction-cups grab onto the flat solid surface like glue and just do not let go. It's been a week since it's installed, and it has not come off once. The other three-suction-cup handle bar that's identical and comes with the package did fall off the shower wall on its own once when no one was using the shower, but that was expected for anything with a suction cup. My fiancé followed the product instructions and stuck it back on the wall again. It hasn't come off since. Before I put force on the bars, I always pull it as hard as I can just to make sure that it doesn't come off accidentally. Once it stays put, I pull it with my left hand to help me stand up on my right foot, and with my fiancé's lifting me from my right shoulder, I get out of the shower without any problems every single time. Ordered these for an unexpected foot surgery that left me non weight bearing for 2-3 months. I'm a senior citizen and definitely overweight! I ordered these because the ease of installation. They are great for keeping balance and a bit of guidance. I really needed just one but have used the other to hold up the rack for my showering supplies. At some point during the night this one fell down. I have no idea how or why. Put it back up and it's been there for a week with no problem. For permanent heavy-duty use, I think I would prefer screwed in, but these are really good. I would order them again. ... show more

My daughter recommended I get a suction cup grab bar for traveling. I researched them and found this one in particular had 3 suctiion cups. I took it with me while staying in an older house for 3 weeks there I had to climb over the bath tub to get in to shower. I placed the grab bar in a trategic location for getting in and out. Purchase: I bought these shower grab bars shile on sale and was very happy with the price and the fact that two grab bars came in the package. Installation: I cleaned the tiles in my shower and let them dry for 24 hours before installing the grab bars. They were easy to install and seemed quite stable after installation. Use: I am happy with the grab bars and am glad I bought them. I don't use them to pull myself up in the shower but for stabiliity while in the shower, something that is essential for someone like me who is elderly. I have deducted a point because there has been some slippage on one of the grab bar suction cups as a consequence, I assume, of the water in the shower.     • These things really stick to the wall.
I’ve been using portable grab bars for years. I have them in my bathroom at home and take a second set on the road with me. The old ones (not this brand) worked well but we’re very hard to clean inside the suction area. I bought these because they looked, and are easy to clean. When I installed them I wasn’t looking for them to stick to the wall better than my old ones. The middle suction cup really makes a difference. I’ll be replacing both sets now. ... show more

I bought this to aid my wife and I since we wanted some extra functionality in the shower area. The bar is a good size and easily attaches to the shower wall. No muss, no fuss. Easy peasy. I simply made sure to thoroughly clean the shower wall to ensure a secure attachment. It has been up there a couple weeks and no issues with lost suction or the bar falling off in the middle of the night. I am around 230 lbs and I can't pull it off the wall, so I'm confident to trust my wife's safety to it. Additionally, I want to thank the supplier for a quick attention to an Amazon supply glitch that might have delayed delivery of my purchase. This is a very good product and I am pleased with the quality and performance. They were easy to remove from packaging. The grab bars are light weight, were easy to attach, and reattach when they get loose. They were purchased strickly for a stability aid when stepping into the shower after knee replacement surgery.
