The knurled feature is a plus. Buyers should be aware: measures 14.75 inches center to center on the pipe ends. I used my own heavy duty screws, angled them and made it work, leaving one hole empty on the short end.

    • Position of drill holes can make it impossible to attach one screw to wall.

Be carefull with the position when marking your holes. I blocked the ability to get one screw in with the bar itself. I might be able to fix it better with a short screw, still not as good.

These are perfect! My grandma spent too much money for some local company to install a shower system with bars that were insanely thick in diameter, she couldn't grab them with enough strength because of it. I bought these and swapped them out, with better placements too, and they're fantastic. She is much happier with this smaller diameter, and the texturizing for anti-slip is way better too! I would definitely recommend getting longer screws and install into studs, do not use the wall anchors provided ... show more

The product itself came as expected. However, we did have to purchase additional hardware. The screws ( and additional hardware that was included, my husband installed using everything included and it still was not secure) that came with this were not large enough to secure this into the wall. It wiggles quite a bit. We wanted peace of mind that this would not move when my grandmother uses it. The bar it’s self is very nice. It is very solid and I would recommend. The little plastic Drywall inserts are pretty much useless. You need a better anchor unless you can drive all screws into solid wood.
