The handle is not a dainty fragile thing. The whole dish is solidly made, and large enough for the wide butters too. A great buy. Plus, the little raised edges at the ends make scooping pats so easy.

Looks great and is the perfect size for a stick of butter. Has a small lip inside it to scrape excess butter on. Only complaint is that because it’s black and butter is oily, the outside is very hard to keep clean after using it once. When picking the lid up by anything other than the extremely small handle, it shows a lot of finger prints. Wiping finger prints off with a paper towel just smears them around and makes it look even worse. Washing your hands before touching it helps, but sometimes when you’re in the middle of cooking you just need a slap of butter and don’t have time to wash off any oils on your hands. Then you’re dealing with extra cleanup to make the ceramic lid look clean. But it’s a cute butter container ... show more
