The camera works exactly as intended for taking video of surroundings while driving. The main reason I picked this camera over others, though, was the ease of accessing recordings. That feature worked quite poorly as the app is soooo slow to connect over WiFi (you log into the camera's wifi) that it is faster to take out the SD card and go to your computer than to use the app. Thehe install tools are helpful, though, so 4 stars for the rest of the system ... show more

    • It is a good camera and worth the money but you need to be patient
I just wanted to mention one thing - the WIFI connection from the camera to the iPhone App. Because I saw a couple of sad reviews on this. Make no mistake, I spent about one hour struggling to connect my iPhone to the camera through WIFI. I almost gave up and ready to return the camera. The turning point is when I saw the operation manual instruction about upgrading the camera's software version, I gave it a try. Then everything started to working smoothly. Two of the most enjoyable features are live preview on my iPhone and viewing the recorded files with GXPlayer where I could see my driving record with position on the Google map. Well, I still give it 4 start because I had to spend one hour of struggling. After all, it worth the money. The price actually dropped $10 after I purchased. Well, I'm not going to return just for the $10. So, it is a good deal for anyone to buy now. Very IMPORTANT - turn on the iPhone airplane mode if you can't connect your iPhone to the camera. In addition, this camera seems to have the best overall feature compare with other brands. I actually spent a few hours researching many brands by the features and prices. ... show more

Everything is great about this dash cam. The only bad thing I have to say is how long it takes to get the video on your phone. It kind of lags with the app but nothing too horrible.

I got the stash camera because my last one was not a good one. It didn’t have the capability of sitting on the dash like I needed it too. I got this one in replacement of that one. It uses the same map of the old house can I use and it’s 4K. I bought a Sim card for it and I’ve had no trouble. I’ve had it for about two months now. It holds a lot of storage on it, I am an Uber driver so I NEEDED a dash camera. This has good quality which was what I was looking for, good night vision and allot of storage space before having to empty the memory. All of these factors were important to me. It comes with a handy GPS system, but I opted not to use it. It did come with a 64 GB card but I bought my own and I just Formatted it. ... show more

Travel many miles a few times a year…… and was tired of stupid, dumb drivers who think it’s find to cut drivers off!!! (It’s called C.Y.A.). I’m terrible disappointed that there were no instructions included…. guess I’m a mind reader! How to I get an instruction booklet????? HELP?!?!?! Please???? Anyone? ... show more

Still deciding if I am going to return this or not. With all the positive reviews I wanted to give it a shot but there are definitely many flaws to this. I like that it is compact and doesn’t get in the way as I am driving and it comes with long enough wires to connect the rear camera to the back window. Things I don’t like, the wires are SO hard to hide, the camera is too small to view any footage on, and the app does not work on my iphone. The reason why I wanted this specific dash cam was because the footage can be viewed in your phone. So after googling why it’s not working, someone suggested that I use airplane mode. My phone did connect to the Wi-Fi when on airplane mode but you can still only view the footage while sitting in your car, connected to the Wi-Fi. I thought I could be in my house looking at the footage. That’s so annoying! I’m going to look into other cameras to see if another one is better. ... show more

    • I has short comings.
The Wi-Fi connection could be easier to connect to and it should stay connected until you release it. The internal battery could last longer, it runs down to quick. This would allow you to transfer your recordings without having to reconnect to camera Wi-Fi before you can finish download.
