Towing with this set up feels much safer and is definitely worth installing. The calipers look great, the install was easy. The parts quality is surprisingly good. I would expect nothing less for the price tag, it better be! The feeling in the pedal feels a little less squishy, they definitely grip that rotor up quickly. They do not get as hot as standard pads and work well downhill. MAKE SURE TO BREAK THEM IN. If you don’t want warped rotors or pads be sure to brake them in right after you install them. The brake pad box has instructions on how to do so. As much as spending $800 hurts to do, if you tow often or if you just want more breaking power, I would say they’re worth it. ... show more

I decided to buy this because one of the rear calipers was sticking on my 2002 GMC and I had oversized 20" wheels that were definitely harder to stop than the original 16" wheels. I installed this myself and am still trying to get the air out of the ABS system. These are OEM fit and look great. Do yourself a favor and cap off brake lines as soon as you disconnect or immediately attach to the new caliper. I made the mistake of replacing the rear hoses and taking them off to take to the store for a match. While open, the rear lines drained back to the ABS unit. You will have to get a scan tool that sends codes to the ABS unit to get it to pump while you bleed the air out of the ABS unit to the rear brakes. Currently I'm driving it with a slight amount of air in the system, but have not finished the bleed because I need to rebuild the ABS module (common GM truck circuit board solder point crack issue). Once I have a firm pedal, I'm sure it will prove to be a great improvement over the stock brakes. ... show more

    • Good OEM style replacement for towing
Good complete package for a 2002 Chevy 1500 LT 4x4 5.3. I tow a trailer and replaced my wrecked calipers and rotors with this set about a year ago. They appear to be OEM style replacements and have a pretty red finish and the slotted rotors have held their shine. I didn't have any problems installing them and they have performed great! It stops my truck and they feel responsive. Also not hearing any squeals. Do yourself a favor when you do this job and check your caliper brake lines to see of you need to replace them and dont install the rear calipers on opposite sides. ... show more

These fit my Silverado perfectly. Fairly simple install. I was apprehensive when it came to the initial break in procedure. I had an independent shop install brakes several years ago and there way always a little judder when braking. Huge improvement over the stock setup. I do a lot of towing and driving in the mountains. These brakes are a must have for hard use! Never overheated on me where others have.
