This is a super card with lights and music and a magnetic closure that requires the recipient to actually blow out the candle light to make the birthday music come on! You can also customize the AGE displayed on the cake. That said...there is a need for instruction as it is not totally intuitive.... 1. There is a pull out tab that sticks out from the new card to isolate the battery so it is fresh when you open it. My wife spent several minutes pulling on the tab lightly thinking that is what makes the lights go on. You simply need to pull it out and OFF the card. 2. Opening the card (magnetic closure...will turn on only the birthday candle...and you might think the card is defective with no music and needing to be blown out up close and hard to start it up. So be prepared to provide a bit of instruction before the fun begins. Would definitely re buy this again for others.

What a great card! When I first pulled the battery saver and opened the card I was left a little non-plussed. A white light appeared and lit up the cake. It was just kind of "blah". Then I found a little piece of paper that said to blow and the card. I blew and blue and blew. I wasn't sure what actually I was supposed to blow on. Eventually though I got it to work and the colors and music exploded from the card making it a very fun card. I also like that you get two sets of numbers so that you can place the person's age on top of the cake. One caveat is that this is a thick and heavy card and it will need quite a bit of postage. Worth it though.

This is a very nice interactive birthday card with thick card stock for the card and the envelope. I’ve had these sent to me before, and it’s amazing when the music and lights begin. I haven’t pulled the starter on this yet because I’m not sure how many times this card will play. This is a nice card but the inside is not as colorful as pictured in the ad. When my order arrived, I realized it was the exact same card I had ordered from another supplier. Sometimes different sellers have similar cards with variations but not in this case. Still a great card.

I like the 3D effect that they have on this card -- probably because the card stock is a nicer card stock and the cake effects are pretty cool. This one has not only the 3D effects but also the interactive where you blow the candle and then music and lights start -- those always seem to be more popular when giving to someone -- and you get that total WOW factor. I also like how they have a magnet on it so that it keeps it closed -- that is also a neat addition and bonus to this card. I like that feature a lot. (And appreciate it) They also provide an extra inserted card that you can write a note on -- so it just makes this way more than a plain 3D card. It keeps the receiver busy with enjoying all of the extras in this card.

Love birthday cards that are more than just a card. This card closes with magnet so it keeps the card from accidentally setting anything and running out of battery. To get the lights on, you have to blow on the candle, but it took me a few hardy blows to find out where to blow. Included are 2 sheets of gold-flecked numbers you can insert into the top layer of the cake on the card. There is a small card to write birthday greetings. I really enjoy giving this card out, but if I have to mail it, suggest packing in a rectangular supportive envelope so the card does not get bent or damaged by the post office. I think giving this in person would be much more fun than sending.

This birthday card is very fun. I hope I don’t use up the battery showing it to my friends before I give it to my friend. Even though the envelope is very sturdy, I don’t think I would use this in the mail for fear it would smash the card because the envelope is kind of thick. And you would need to secure the flap better with tape. I love the pop-up design!
