We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I bought this dashcam back in July 2025 when my teen got license and started to drive. I am satisfied with the quality of the dashcam. It does what its supposed to do. Mounting: a) Reliable suction to mount dashcam. Rear cam unstuck once under blistering heat in summer. No issues with it. b) for my Infiniti M37, the wires provided were more than sufficient to hide it behind the car's interior panels. Video Quality a) Very clear, good quality videos - both front and rear. Good coverage area by both cameras. Wifi Connectivity: a) I am an iphone user, connecting to app to access camera files and download files is reliable. Having said that here are things I am not a big fan of - hence the 4 stars a) 1 Min video length, file size about 181MB. Downloading a file from camera on to the phone takes about 1min. b) If I need to trace a 15 min drive, it creates 30 files, 15 front and 15 rear, to download them all takes 20 to 25 mins. I often want to check how my teen drove in the morning/evening. Having to download 60 to 80 files takes forever. If RedTiger can allow faster file download via usb-c cable rather than on wifi, that will help. Also the UI is not great, as I can't multi select files at once. its making me select one file at a time to chose the files to download. ... show more

For me not knowing what dashcam to get, I think this was a great choice. The small capacity SD card is a letdown but for what you're paying, it works great. Not cheap, not overpriced. It has come in handy quite a few times. Easy plug in and just suction mount to the window. Great video quality too, it helped my local police locate a stolen vehicle. And no need to worry if you live in cold areas cause it got down to -20°F here and the camera had no issues. ... show more

Really great dash cam. It's one of the highest quality video cameras I have seen. Lasted 2 years with no flaws! Almost 2 years to the day, the screen started to freeze on boot up. I contacted support and I am out of warranty, however the support is so great that they will send me a one time replacement for free. Couldn't ask for a better solution. Highly recommend!!
