  • Great Cam and a Great Price! Packed with features
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices. ... show more

  • Perfect Dashcam for Honda HR-V in SoFlo Perfect Dashcam for Honda HR-V in SoFlo
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
Driving in SoFlo is absolutely wild, bordering lawless, IYKYK. Several times I’ve been in incidents not at fault, but the other drivers ran, leaving me unable unable to prove what happened or hold the other parties responsible. I got this dashcam to use in my Honda HR-V for peace of mind and have now had it nearly 2.5yrs. I continue to be happy with the video quality, easy installation, video storage and retrieval, etc. I’ve never installed something like this before so I watched a couple of how-to videos and was able to easily run the wires through the car. The whole process from start to camera rolling and linked took about an hour. Several times I’ve had to download video for police, accidents I witnessed, luckily not my own. Each time took approx 5min to download and save in my phone. Really came in handy for the insurance company as the video was more than enough and no further statements were requested. I noticed videos at night take longer to load than videos during the day. The customer service is also top tier. Recently the suction cup started failing, no matter how much I cleaned the window until finally it wouldn’t stay up at all. I messaged the seller about the issue to see what could be done. Their response was less than 24hrs and they immediately offered shipping the adhesive mount, no charge, and confirmed it would be compatible with the camera since the mounts seem to be specific to the camera model. I got the adhesive mount in 3 days and took less than 2min to install. I can already tell the mount is far more secure, no matter the amount of poking and prodding, the camera is not moving. The adhesive mount also takes up significantly less room on the window which allows more options for placement and more window visibility. I’ve recommended this camera to many people, several of which who are also happy with their cameras. ... show more

  • Camera
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
The video quality is incredibly clear, even at night, and it really gives me peace of mind while driving. Both the front and rear cameras capture everything in great detail, which makes it feel much safer on the road. The setup was straightforward, and it’s been very reliable since I installed it. I also like the features and how smoothly it records without any issues. Overall, it’s a high-quality dash cam that feels worth it for the added safety and protection. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for dependable front and rear coverage! ... show more

  • Great Dashcam. Fabulous Customer Service! Insufficient Parking Mode Instructions (read below).
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
Purchased this for my wife's RAV4. I like having both the front and rear cameras and love how compact they are; they are fairly unobtrusive in both locations. The front camera is mostly behind the rear-view mirror (the camera is small enough to easily fit entirely behind the mirror, but the car's OEM black box against the windshield is already occupying the ideal real estate). The rear camera is tucked up at the top of the rear window (just at the top of the rear wiper sweep area) and is barely noticeable. I liked that I could rotate the rear camera in its holder to the view angle I wanted. The cable length on the rear camera was more than sufficient to reach front-to-back in this car (and easily tucked away behind the headliner and other trim pieces), but I'm not sure if it would be enough for a full-size SUV like an Excursion. It does have an inline connector near the rear camera which was convenient when installing the rear camera and running the wire and may allow for an extension to be used. The video quality looks great. I set my front resolution down to 1080p since I feel that will be sufficient for our day-to-day needs. In my opinion, the quality of the footage will be impacted more by how clean the glass is and the weather conditions outside than the quality of the cameras. I like that I can set whether and how long the screen is visible when the dashcam is on. Most of the time, I prefer to have the displays screen off. It takes some clicking to get through all of the menus, but I found the UI intuitive and easy enough to use. The included lighter adaptor worked fine, but I got the hardwire kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09WCTZ3Y8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) to run permanently and to enable Parking Mode (see note below). I also got the 3M Mount (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SFY13TZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) so I could mount the camera a bit higher behind the rear-view mirror. I'll use the suction mount and lighter adaptor when using the dashcam on trips in a rental car. You'll want to get a larger (e.g. 256 GB) High Endurance U3 SD card (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P4HBRMV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) as the included SD card is only U1. NOTE on the hardwire kit and Parking Mode: I connected the wires as instructed (yellow->BATT, red->ACC, black->GRD) but did not see the behavior I was expecting from the dashcam: the dashcam immediately turned on even though the ACC power was off, and I could not turn on Parking Mode. This led me to believe that the documentation was wrong, so I reversed the red and yellow wires which resulted in the dashcam not turning on until ACC power was on and allowing me to set Parking Mode (or so I thought), so I felt that I had figured it out. However, I then realized that the dashcam would not stay on - it never recorded any footage while the car was on (or off). Gratefully, I found a Q&A response from "Elizabeth B" back on 10/7/2021 which explained how to properly set up Parking Mode (which doesn't appear to be documented anywhere with either product): 1. Connect wires as described above (Yellow = constant 12v, Red = switched 12v, Black = ground). 2. Turn on acc power (but do not start engine). 3. Press menu button and select "Parking". 4. While blue message box is shown on the F7N display, turn off acc power (this has to be timed well). You should see a new blue message box and the F7N unit will power off. 5. Turn acc power back on (but do not start engine). 6. Press menu button and select "Parking". 7. You will now see the menu options for Parking Mode and be able to configure it how you like. credit: Elizabeth B. (Attention REDTIGER: You should include these steps in your documentation and compensate Elizabeth.) After reverting my wire connections back to match the documentation and following the steps above, my hardwired dashcam is now functioning perfectly - including Parking Mode. Even though my installation and set-up experience with the hardwire kit wasn't ideal, I do have to say that the REDTIGER customer service was outstanding! They were responsive, proactive, and empowered to do the right things for their customers. Thank you Nora! As for the apps, the Android app seems to work sufficiently well. It does take a LONG time to download the video files over the dashcam's wi-fi. I prefer to remove the SD card and copy the files directly to my PC. I'm not very impressed with the PC app (Windows 10) yet. I tried it only once, but it seemed to have a hard time after viewing the first video, and even that wasn't great. It's intended to show both front & rear video simultaneously, which I think is great, but I haven't been able to get it work very well. I'll try again and see if I can get it run better. I was surprised to discover that the rear camera records audio, so it doesn't sound great when both front and rear audio are played at the same time. I muted the rear audio and used just the front audio. The video files run just fine on third-part video players. Bottom line: I love the dashcam and rear camera; easy to use; good video; absolutely fabulous customer service. ... show more

  • Do NOT buy this camera if you plan to use parking mode…
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
I purchased this camera before moving to a big city that is known to have an increase with car break-ins and damage to personal vehicles. My plan was to purchase the hardwire kit and have parking mode running as a second set of eyes on my car. Anyway, the installation of both the camera and hardwire kit was fairly straightforward. Anybody that can operate a smartphone could navigate the settings on one of these cameras. I would say that the memory card provided is pretty small and once the camera starts recording, you notice there won’t be space for very much footage - especially if you intend to capture videos in parking mode. The problem I had was communication between the app, the camera, and the hardwire kit. There was always some sort of issue! This hardwire kit is fairly easy to install. One wire goes to the ground, one to a constant hot (such as the battery) so it always has power, and the last wire to ACC (some sort of accessory) which has power when the car is on, but turns off when you shut the car off. We tried many variations of ACC and constant connection, made sure there was proper voltage, even purchased a larger memory card, tested and REtested the connection with an electric light tester, etc. The camera was always showing it had power and that it was recording when it should have been, but the footage wouldn’t be there from when the camera should have been recording in parking mode. All settings for parking mode were arranged. The camera recognized the hardwire kit and displayed a large “P” on it which is the icon for parking mode, but again, there was never any footage. After all of this, I reached out to RedTiger customer service AND tech support. They STARTED off nice. In support’s first response, they said rest assured if I followed the troubleshooting they sent me and it didn’t work, they would replace my items. Well, guess what? The troubleshooting didn’t work and then they jerked me around, asked me a million more questions, asked for photos, the whole nine yards. I sent everything they asked for, even more, and maybe that was my mistake. Next, they would say oh I need another photo or send me another troubleshooting list even though they sent that same one to me 2 emails prior. I mean how different can a fuse box look from one photo to another? You can’t exactly cram a phone or camera up there to take a photo… Well, now I have jerked around with this camera and these customer/tech “support” people for almost a month. The camera arrived on March 4th and it is now March 26th. Of course this is a long review, and if you’re still with me, I applaud you. Save yourself the time, energy, stress, and sanity. Do NOT buy this camera especially if you plan on using the parking mode! After this disaster, I purchased the ROVE brand dual dash cam. It took the same amount of time to set up as this travesty. The ROVE camera announces when it is switching modes (you can also turn that feature off), Parking mode on/off, recording, stop recording, Wi-Fi on, WiFi off, etc. The best part is - all of my footage is there! It has been like night and day. Edit to add: After receiving this review, RedTiger did reach out to me. In an effort to make things right, a different customer service representative said they would be sending me replacement products. I still plan on keeping this review up, as it was a nightmare dealing with the camera, hardwire kit, and trying to resolve the issues we were having. I feel everyone deserves to know if they are thinking about purchasing! However, everyone also deserves to know that RedTiger reached out and tried to clear the air. Good luck to all of you folks. I hope you find the camera that best fits your needs! ... show more

  • BEST CAM. IT'S ALL YOU NEED.
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
This cam is EXCELLENT. It is so sleek and compact with the wide, narrow screen. Both front and rear are super clear. Night vision is great. Parking mode is great. Hardwire installation is a breeze. Rear cam has a cord long enough for just about any vehicle, and the wire gauge is small enough to coil and tuck the excess up in the headliner without any sign of it. App works great, easy to sort all videos. With the hardwire, it's set it and forget it. Don't even have to think about it. Comes on and off with the ignition, never has failed. There is an easy way to tell if the parking mode is working, You only would see it if you know about it. ... show more

  • Outstanding Customer Service!
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
Besides this being a really good product, the customer service is the best I’ve experienced in a very, very long time. A week or two after installing the cameras, the rear camera quit working. I emailed a request for assistance that was answered within 24 hours. They suggested I check a couple of items like the connections, etc. and then sent me a replacement. A few weeks ago, I decided to order the hardwire kit. When it arrived I discovered during installation that the USB-C cable section was too short to allow me to hide the module beneath my glove box where my fuse box is located. I had no choice but to locate the module on the far right side of the dash. I was worried that this location would get too hot and ultimately shorten the life of the module. I emailed RedTiger support because the module kept displaying the ACC message even after the vehicle had been off for hours. They told me the ACC wire was incorrectly connected and was powered constantly instead of only getting power when the key was in the accessory or on positions. In that same email, I mentioned the short cable issue and my concern about the heat damaging the module and, even though I thought I was just passing along some customer feedback to lengthen the cable, they are now sending me a version of the hardwire kit that has extended wiring. Now that I think about it, if the fuse box was in the back of the vehicle, you would need this particular kit to reach to the front. Excellent, responsive customer service. Can’t recommend them more hightly. ... show more

  • Two years in — still solid, and the customer service sealed it
Size: F7NP-128GB SD Card
I've had this REDTIGER F7NP 4K front/rear dash cam for about two and a half years and it's been reliable the whole time. The 4K front footage is sharp, the night vision holds up well, and the WiFi app makes pulling clips off it easy. The one thing that eventually wore out was the suction cup mount — it cracked and stopped sealing. I reached out to REDTIGER expecting a hassle since I was well past the warranty window and had bought through Amazon, not their site. Instead they shipped me a free replacement mount, no charge, and it arrived in just a few days. Installed in minutes and it's holding rock-solid. I rarely leave reviews, but a company that stands behind its product years after the sale earns one. If you're deciding between dash cams, the hardware is good and the support behind it is even better. ... show more
