These side steps are a very high-quality build, and they have a very stylish look. They were the best priced of any side steps for the Honda Ridgeline. I think they help improve the appearance of the truck while also adding some functionality. The powder coating appears to be very durable and the step platforms themselves have a sporty look to them, which is more sporty looking than the competitors designs. When the doors are closed, they are lower profile and the way the truck doors curve at the bottom. Keep them from protruding too far out. When the doors are open, there is an ample surface area that is a nonslip material that provides ample room for larger shoe sizes. ... show more

i bought this for 2025 ridgeline trailsport. the quality of materials are excellent.also installation was quite easy, no cut needed at all. there are some shortcomings: the center mounting brackets were probably 1/4" off (between steel stepping bars and mounting brackets).so you have to mount those brackets to the vehicle's chassis first, tighten them with your fingers. then mount the stepping bars, connect them to those mounting brackets with screws. pay special attention to the center connections (mounting brackets and connection between brackets and stepping bars). only tighten all of bolts when everything inline each other. btw, right side brackets touch hydraulic line a bit. so i wrapped brackets with tapes to prevent metal edges of brackets grinding the hydraulic line. ... show more

I bought these running boards for a 2018 Toyota Tacoma and they look sharp. As a short woman, I was excited to not have to pull myself into the truck cab and these give the perfect esthetic. The parts were very neatly organized and it took very little construction to get on the road. The strength of the running boards - essentially what amounts to pipes - was evident immediately when I dropped one on a railroad tie that would have bent anything else that was metal. It just bounced off. It came with two types of bolts and washers, a hex wrench, and 6 brackets. I used a standard Rachel set and did not have to jack up the truck at all. The only issue that I had wasn't related to the hardware at all, prolonging what should have been a 1 hour job into a couple of hours. I found that the bolt holes weren't threaded correctly. Whoever was responsible for that task at Toyota was clearly asleep. After some research, I had found that some people had to rethread the holes with a tap and die kit, and one even broke a bolt off, not realizing the issue. I forged ahead, using the partial threads in the holes that this drowsy plant worker provided, assuming that a very tight fit on a partially threaded hole would hold. Since the bolts would not bolt down all of the way, this meant that the brackets did not sit flush to the truck body and they had a lot of play. If you look closely, sometimes it appears that one side sits lower. However, ultimately the tight bolts and strong construction held, and the boards feel strong. I can't keep my husband from jumping on them to test their meddle, so I guess he's my quality control. I'm very pleased with the quality, equipment, and packaging. If I were to include any suggestion before you start, it would be to look up where your running board holes are online. The instructions assume that you just know their placement and that they're plugged up, leaving them pretty nondescript. Grab a flat head screwdriver to remove the plugs. Once you get them located, you're good. ... show more
