A few things about this product. • The engineering is excellent. The parts align very well and the design was clearly thought out well. At some points in the installation process I wondered if the design was maybe a bit too intricate for it’s own good. Once buttoned up though the pieces come together very nicely to produce a solid step solution. • The welds are outstanding, you can tell they are machine welds and the attention to detail is exceptional. • There are a lot of complaints about the quality of the instructions. In my view, if you’ve got any experience with after-market bolt-on equipment, these instructions are better than most. If they are difficult to understand then you should consider having them professionally installed for safety. I’m no genius but I do have experience installing this sort of thing on previous vehicles. The whole installation took me 1.5 hours, on my own, from box opening to clean up. • Pre-mounting assembly required. I found the amount of assembly required prior to actual install to be unnecessary. The multitude of T-Bolts and nuts that need to be assembled prior to actual installation is a waste of customer time. This could easily have been completed at the time of manufacture and would have consumed no more space in the packaging. • I saw many complaints of missing hardware in previous reviews. I did not have this experience and also noticed that they are adding a bag of “extra hardware” just in case. Good adjustment on the seller’s part. • The red plastic inserts that make the logo cutouts pop fall off within seconds of sticking them on. This does not matter to me but if the company is counting on this to advertise their product they should consider better quality adhesive. • There was a large scratch on one of my rails right out of the box. I chose the aluminum option so this will not result in rust but it is a detractor from the appearance of the product. Packaging process failure. One thing I noticed while shopping for this product was the inconsistency in appearance of customer submitted images. Some installations looked well centered while others looked like they were too far forward on the truck. When too far forward they appeared to have an unbalanced look that I really did not like. My assumption was that variations in body style of the trucks caused this. I was incorrect and this is why. When assembling the steps I noticed that there are Driver and Passenger side rails that are clearly marked with stickers. When I finished installing the steps I was disappointed to see that my install resulted in the rails being too far forward and looking unbalanced with the overall profile of the truck. After pondering for a bit I decided to investigate switching the driver side to passenger side, and vice versa. What I found was that this simple swap resulted in a well balanced installation that mounted exactly the same way but positioned the rails about 2.5 inches further back on the truck. Due to the rail design, the steps still lined up in the same spots along the length of the truck; the rail portion however, is all that changed relational position. My conclusion is that the Driver and Passenger side stickers were mistakenly placed on the wrong pieces causing the rails to be installed on the wrong sides and thus too far forward. Extending my conclusion further, this is why some customer images appear centered on their trucks while others appear mounted too far forward. If you have these installed and are displeased with the positioning, try swapping sides (not all the brackets, just the rails). See my before and after images. See how the first images (daytime) appear further forward while darker images (later in day) appear balanced on the truck profile. My overall conclusion is thus. The design and manufacture are very nice. The instructions are as good or better than most after-market, bolt-on, goodies. The packaging process clearly needs some attention as they have difficulty counting nuts and bolts, packaging without scratches, and placing left and right stickers on left and right pieces. Got these on my 22 Silverado. Install was pretty easy. I snapped one T bolt, emailed seller, and they sent me a new bolt. Seem sturdy, look nice, make it easier to get in and out of the truck.

I like the look and sturdiness of the product. This installation instructions were not that good. They need some major overhaul. I was almost ready to repackage and send back. One I figured out the way all the screws were packaged it got easier. I good You Tube video would have been a great help.

Boards were not real difficult to install. However, the written instructions were not easy to follow like most foreign instructions. Fortunately, I have a lot of experience following pictures to put projects together. The boards are pretty nice to look at on my Z71 Silverado and sturdy also. Put them on a 2022 GMC 1500 4x4 and there is only 9 inches of ground clearance. Not what I had expected. I tried to adjust then up higher and not much more than a 1/4 of an inch in adjustment height, same for lateral movement too. Quality is good. Unfortunately I will end up removing them before they are damaged, or damage my truck. I will look for some steps that are higher and fit better. ... show more
