Description

AMP Research invented the PowerStep™ XL featuring a rugged, bold design, offering a 3” lower stepping surface than the original PowerStep™. This product makes accessing your lifted truck easier. The same automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and retracts out of sight when the doors close. The rail is constructed of 6063 Marine grade aluminum with an integrated bracket system with precision stainless steel pivot pins for rock-solid stability to support up to 600 pounds. PowerStep™ XL is American designed and engineered. Proudly made in the USA with global materials.

This is a quality product! Well designed and built. Seems a little complicated to install but after doing it once to repeat the process would be easy. These steps are expensive but they are a top notch, high quality product.

The quality of the product is fantastic, and it operates like a dream. I was pretty disappointed with the LED lights. For the exorbitant amount of money these things cost, one would think you'd get a set of lights that were brighter than a $2 Walmart flashlight. I replaced them. I also struggled a LOT with trying to figure out the overall height difference in this XL version versus the normal version. I finally found a forum where actual measurements were given by a customer. I did this by myself in the driveway, and it's a lot harder than with two people and/or having the truck on a lift. Works great. Biggest complaint is that for the price, youd think AMP could have added decent wire connectors to the LEDS and such rather than having to crimp connect those tiny wires in awkward places. How much would it have cost to just add standard two wire connectors to all the items.
