It's advertised as a plug and play usb for your tesla. Other reviews say that, that was their experience, but their pictures are also different looking devices that actually said the word tesla. I ordered this in January of 2025, and what I got was an all silver usb drive. I had to format it, which is easy enough. I purchased this flash drive in February 2025 to use for Tesla dashcam footage. It worked fine for about three months. However, in May 2025, the drive suddenly became write-protected, and I can no longer delete files, format it, or write anything new to it. Despite trying multiple tools — including Windows DiskPart, HP Format Tool, and recovery software — nothing worked. The drive is stuck in read-only mode, and there's no utility or firmware fix available from the manufacturer to restore functionality. It appears to be a firmware failure, which is common in lower-quality or generic flash drives. Disappointing that a $30 product would fail so quickly with no recourse. I’d strongly recommend buying from a more reputable brand like SanDisk or Samsung, especially if you’re using it for something as critical as Tesla dashcam storage. ... show more

I bought this to replace another flash drive that wasn’t reliable. Good thing, too, because not too long after I plugged this in, I had to make a trip to the city and, bam, victim of a side-swipe hit-and-run on the freeway! Bless my Tesla, it was all on video.
