While I like the stainless-steel hoses for areas of high abrasion, I love this hose for it light weight and flexibility. I have had many hoses over the years and this one is probably my least favorite. It is very soft and flexible which makes it extremely easy to kink and stop the water flow. It is nice that it came with the soaker attachment but it seems a bit cheap and like it will break easily. If you need a hose that you use very rarely this may work, but you would be better off buying a hose at your local hardware store.

The media could not be loaded. This Panna 25 foot garden hose with spray nozzle is unusually flexible. And it is also unusual in that it expands (both along the length and the diameter) as it is being filled with water pressure. It is nice that it comes with a spray nozzle and also has a shut-off valve at the far end of the hose so that a person can easily change spray nozzles without having to first shut off the water at the source. And it also comes with a black plastic hanging hook (that doesn’t seem at all substantial.) And the fact that it is advertised as being “kink free” is nice since kinks are one of several annoying issues with garden hoses. The sales listing seems to indicate that the inner diameter of the hose is 9.2mm (0.362inches.) So i decided to compare the flow rate of this innovative hose to a standard 5/8 inch garden hose. (refer to the short three-second video) The flow rate difference between the two hoses is quite large. So then i did “a bucket-filling challenge” where the 5/8 inch hose was compared to this new hose to determine how fast they could fill a 5 gallon bucket. (The 5/8 inch hose filled the bucket at rate three times faster.) But to be fair, the instructions with this new hose states clearly that it performs best when it is under pressure (like when the spray nozzle is attached and the water flow is restricted.) This increased pressure causes the hose to expand and thus offer a greater cross-section. However, since the flow is restricted when the spray nozzle is attached, it is possible that the net flow is not really increased by the increased cross-section. (A rather circular argument to be sure.) So while my video-example of flow rate and the bucket-filling challenge are not ideal, they give some feel for the difference between a standard 5/8inch hose and this new hose. (Both hoses were hooked to the same water supply with a simple Y valve for both examples.) All in all, this is a very light weight, very easy to coil-up flexible hose. The flow rate is not nearly that of a standard 5/8 inch garden hose. And the actual length is far closer to 15 feet than 25. And the durability of this new type of “nano rubber and high-density natural rubber polyester” hose compared to the old-fashioned PVC garden hose is not known. But for certain applications this hose could be a very good choice.
