I am extremely impressed with this pot. It's not something I'll use every day but when I need a large pot, this is the one I'll reach for. Over a decade ago I hosted a large gathering and looked everywhere for a large, heavy duty, good quality pot and I discovered that the price on large stock pots was astronomical. I ended up buying several that weren't top of the line but were still much more expensive than this one and this pot is far superior to any of them. I haven't done a lot of canning recently but this pot is inspiration for me to start again. In the past I've always used jar tongs to get the jars in and out but the immersion rack that comes with this pot will make the process so much easier! My son enjoys making an annual Christmas pudding that must be boiled for hours and hours and this pot and rack will make that task easier as well - no more dropping the pudding in boiling water when trying to remove it by the lid! I expect to use it most often, however, as a soup/stock pot since I enjoy making homemade soups and homemade stocks and I always seem to need a slightly larger pot than the one I've chosen for the task - this pot can handle it all. The last thing I want to say about the set is that it's not only functional, of high quality and reasonably priced, it's simply a beautiful pot! I'm totally impressed and very happy that I chose it!

Try as I might because of minor issues, this pot is absolutely deserving of five stars. That being said, here are the flaws: The measurements are off. I put a gallon of water into it and it came up to the 4 liter mark. Hey! liters are more than a quart. Somebody messed up, but then again none of my other good pots have ANY markings on them. The canner "handles" do not fit inside the pot smoothly. Don't even try to use them as directed with boiling water! On the other hand, I never have used the so-called handles on my ancient canner before I gave it away when I moved. That's what a "jar lifter" tool is for. This pot is sturdy, the lid tits securely, and I can't think of any reason why I can't highly recommend it. The "wrong" markings are very handy to know when you need to add more boiling water, and how much, when going from one batch to another while canning. It's easy to clean and sits squarely on my glass top range. I don't impress easily when it comes to cookware, but this pot is impressive.

This is a large metal pot designed for canning/jarring, or for large cooking projects such as soup, stew, or tamales. It is about as large as possible for a single burner, and depending on the size of you stove it can be used over two burners. The size capacity is 20 quarts and if used in canning projects your creativity is the limit. You can prepare multiple cans and jars for long-term preservation, and it even includes a wire rack at the bottom which is ideal for jarring. I did experiment with two layers of canning for my preserves, and it looks like everything turned out just fine. I'm sure it could fit two to three layers of tamales if you are steaming them in this pot. Overall the pot is great for steaming projects. Using it to make a large serving of chili, left a big mess to clean up. It is not non-stick and it can retain food stains if not properly scrubbed. However using it for canning and tamales, I have not had the same trouble with stains and scratching. Overall, it's a great pot that is probably going to be the biggest one in your kitchen. It is very versatile but does best with steaming and water projects rather than cooking liquid meals directly in the pot. It is sturdy and strong, and so far there is no sign of the pesky oxidation that often starts turning pots like this very dark quickly. So far so good!

Used this for chicken and dumplings with no complaints. Very happy with this pot for cooking big meals, but my basket doesnt fit well for canning. I will look for another to fit in it but this should not be advertised as such if it isnt properly made. The glass lid fits nice and does what it should.

Boy, this pot is a beast! It's made with heavy gauge stainless steel and the bottom is even thicker. It comes with a wire canning rack with a built-in handle, also made out of stainless steel. It also comes with a pair of silicone oven mitts which is a nice gesture by the seller. I've been reading other reviews and the fact that the wire rack not being able to reach the bottom of the pot seems to be a common complaint shared amongst other reviewers. I'm a bit puzzled by this as it's not meant to be in the first place. Product is clearly pictured with the canning rack held at about the 14 QT level indicator, not at the bottom. Capacity could easily double with another canning rack meant for the bottom of the pot that's not included with the purchase but at this price, who can complain? To close, this is an excellent, 20QT stainless steel pot that comes with a boiling bath canning rack and another bonus. It's priced an at incredible value at the time of writing, so I'd highly recommend it to others.

This 20 qt stock pot is very well built. It's stainless steel construction and thick bottom will ensure even heating and works on my induction top. The glass lid fits well and I really like the canning rack. I have the same size aluminum pot the the quality of this stainlesssteel pot is far superior to aluminum. For the price it's amazing quality and you will probably have a hard time finding a better deal.

This 20 quart stainless steel canning pot is good for more than just canning! You can cook up a whole lot of soup, chili, beef stew, or camp stew in this oversize pot. Good for cooking in big quantity to put some in the freezer. But it is a CANNER, and when our garden starts producing those good veggies later in the summer, we will be using this as a canner. Ample room for several jars. Good design and made of heavy duty stainless steel.
