this thing works wonders. I just wish it was easier to clean. clean one side the other gets dirty. you have to clean both sides like 5 times to make it clean but that's also why it works so well.

Thanks to AIPER for crating this filter as without this robot was not able to pickup all small sends and was completely useless for cleaning the pool. And I rate it 4 stars as this filter goes inside if the big filter (3 Micron inside of 180 ? Why ? Shouldn't it be vice versa ?) which should catch all the bigger dirt's first, but now all the dirt are being caught by the 3 Micron filter and this makes it more difficult to clean and the bigger one stays clean as there are no more dirt after 3 Micron filter. but anyway I did not regret of buying it.

I was really excited about this because it got good reviews and my old Dolphin w/cable is awkward and heavy. New out of the box, did all the preliminaries and put it in the (18x36 vinyl rectangular, 6’ deep end) reasonably clean pool on Auto mode, full charge empty clean basket. It manages to climb the wall like 2 out of 5 attempts and the rest of the time it spins tracks/wheels and seems confused. It’ll back up a couple of feet, move forward a foot and sit with tracks spinning. When it gets up the wall it does a good job, but that’s not very helpful. On the floor it doesn’t seem to follow a pattern and just wanders around, periodically stopping and just sitting there. Maybe I got a lemon but in any event it’s going to have to be returned.

Aiper is one of the most respected pool robot manufactuers in the business. Although they've diversified their products somewhat of late with a smart irrigation system they're still best known for their excellent pool cleaning products. In particular, their high end products rank among the best you can buy. This is a decidedly mid-range product but one that delivers a ton of performance at a very reasonable price point. It might not have all of the cutting edge AI technology on board, but the Scuba S1 might be the best combination of performance and value available. The Scuba S1 cleans walls, waterline and floor with powerful suction and scrubbing. It takes care of your debris with solid filtration and runs well over two hours on a single charge. At this price point, you give up some of the granular control of the higher end app powered products but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The Scuba S1 still has excellent navigation ('WavePath Navigation 2.0) but it does it all 'under the hood' where you don't have to concern yourself with it. All of the controls are on the device itself and you can choose from four modes: Auto, Eco, Floor Only and Wall Only. Aiper products are always extremely well made. You can just look at the Scuba S1--particularly the downright burly treads--and tell that it means business. It'll work great for pools up to 1600 square feet. It might not be 'state of the art' but it still takes care of most cleaning needs with minimal hassle and with a nice value price point attached. Highly recommended!
