I use this for watching 45-1 hr episodes in prime. The quality of the video is good and the glasses itself is well built. It is comfortable for a short time but if I watch anything beyond an hour, it does hurt a bit on my nose where it rests and my eyes feel strained and you can feel the weight building up.     • The audio on these glasses does not work, and the customer service support is even worse
Absolutely unhappy with these because the audio does not work in the customer service. Support is absolutely abysmal after I contacted them. I’ve been going back-and-forth with them for over a month and I have not get resolution to my issues. Do not buy this product. I don’t recommend it. It was a huge waste of money. The screen works really good, but they’re supposed to allow you to hear what you’re watching and that has never worked. The glasses have a year warranty, but they did not honor their warranty after I reached out to them explaining to them that the glasses never allow me to hear the audio. I’m not the type of person to post negativity so this, but this needs to be put out there. Terrible. Terrible experience. i’m still trying to get customer service to reach out to me and do the right thing but they refuse to do the basics which is basically take their item and look at what I’m talking about and see that they are not producing audio is very annoying and frustrating and these things are not cheap. I was used to watching movies on Quest 3, but I didn't like the weight of the Q3 and the heat it generated on my face and eyes, so I looked for an alternative. I looked at the XR/AR glasses technology and its different brands, but the one that convinced me the most was Rayneo, as they listen to their users and constantly improve their products. The things I liked about Rayneo: ●The screen: I'd previously heard about blurry edges on AR glasses. Rayneo found a way to solve that problem, as the screen looks sharp from the center to the edges. The colors are very realistic, and the blacks are pure thanks to its high-quality Micro-OLED Screen. The brightness reaches a maximum that I can use outdoors without any problem, giving me the option to lower or raise the brightness from the glasses themselves with a simple click on the right side of the glasses. It have Certified Blue Light Protection, which is very important to me, plus anti-flicker technology, 3840Hz DC+PWM dimming system that help reduce eye strain during prolonged use. I should mention that the screen size depends on the distance from the wall and the object in front of you. At a distance of around 9 feet, the screen appears to be around 190 to 200 inches in size. It's incredible how they achieve this effect while maintaining the image quality and colors intact. ●The Audio: I love the sound of these glasses. They have speakers pointing both downward and upward, simulating surround sound that immerses you in the content you're watching. It sounds great. The glasses have a mode called Whisper Mode 2.0, which is activated using the menu button on the left side of the glasses, making it suitable for private listening without the need for external headphones. ● Comfort & Design: This was one of the most important points for me. The glasses only weigh 76 grams, which makes them perfect. No more neck pain from the weight of the Quest 3. And I can easily use them anywhere without getting weird looks. No more heat for my face and eyes And their design is perfect for my taste. I've had many complements from friends and family, and even two members of my family already ordered the Rayneo Air 3s after I showed them how they work. The glasses have a system that allows the user to tilt the arms of the glasses both up and down to ensure that the user can position them so that they see the image with 100% Clarity and quality. Conclusion: The RayNeo Air 3S stands out as a top contender in the affordable AR/XR glasses market, combining impressive display quality, enhanced audio performance, and user-centric design. I got these on preorder directly from RayNeo and they're pretty awesome. At this very moment I look like some dystopian cyberpunk hacker, with a blacked-out laptop, and stevie wonder sunglasses on, with the matrix being piped directly into my head - you can see the pixels in my eyes... like that scene in Sneakers, where Whistler suddenly gets the code breaker working. Marketing language is awful: "201-inch display" is a rubbish description. A jumbotron a mile away isn't a very big picture, and a postage stamp on your eyeball fills your entire field of view. A more helpful description of the image scale is that to my eyes it's about twice the height and width of a 14" laptop screen when my laptop is on my lap. Or about the same as my cell phone 8 inches from my face. Very much fills up the interesting part of my field of view, but peripheral vision still works for better or worse. It completely covers the seat in front of me on an airplane. Anyway, they're very comfortable for extended wear (6+ hrs at a time). They're mostly dark enough to block out most ambient light on the plane I'm currently flying on; the seat-back display is kind of a ghostly image behind this window. If I choose to focus on that screen I can read it, but usually I'm focused on the projected image. If I need to look at my keyboard I can just glance down, but most of the time I'm just touch-typing. Clearly no one else can see what I'm working on, so these may also be good in environments where information security is important and shoulder-surfing is absolutely intolerable. If you don't need to look directly at your keyboard while using your computer, they're very handy when the person in front of you reclines their seat preventing you from opening your laptop the whole way. Image quality is pretty good. A typical programmer font (Cascadia 9) is quite readable though you may prefer 10 or 11 point. You can probably go two or three points down from your regular terminal font with the apparent magnification of these glasses. There appears to be a small bit of barrel distortion at the sides, but maybe that's just my eyes and or corrective inserts. You should spend some time adjusting the nose piece and arm angles so that the glasses sit as close to your face as possible or else you're going to get a bit of vignetting at the corners. I can still see all the vscode visual elements (git, debug, close window, vscode icon), so it's only slight vignetting. Expect a little bit of disorientation when you first try tilting your head. You're used to the world appearing to remain aligned with gravity, and your inner ear is going to be a bit confused. Just focus on the image and it'll clear up. These glasses are Linux compatible, assuming your computer and distribution support USB-C video out (Ubuntu 24 on a Thinkpad T14 works). Unlike Android which just magically detects and switches audio output, you'll need to use a tool like pavucontrol to route the audio over HDMI to the glasses. If you wear glasses and plan to get the corrective inserts for these glasses, go ahead and order them right now. I didn't find any US-based lab that could make the inserts in any reasonable amount of time - or none of the opticians within a reasonable driving distance of me could do it. Just order them from lensology and be done with it - I got mine in about a week from time of order and I regret not doing that as soon as I ordered the Air glasses. I've not yet found a USB-C hub that does power-delivery to a phone while correctly routing video to the glasses; `dmesg` reports that they're connected but so far nothing has actually made video show up.
