This fan is - plastic. Does it work? Yes. I replaced my old, big, metal fan with this one, and I was a little surprised, actually, when I opened the box and realized how light and plastic it was. Does it work?: Yes, and quite well, actually. The remote woks well, the fan puts out plenty of air, and the light options are, fun to play with. Once you pick the hue you like, you don't have to fool with it anymore. It has a timer as well. My only question is the durability of the unit. If it's durable, it's a steal at that price. Time will tell. I can understand why some people say it feels cheap. It's not a big, metal, heavy fan like in the old days.

The old ceiling light/fan in one of our bedrooms was looking very dated. It was definitely time for an upgrade. This fixture is a wonderful addition to the room. The LED lighting is very bright, and very flexible for color temperature and dimming. The fan, although not overly large in diameter, is surprisingly powerful and multi speed. The look of the fixture is modern and clean and has lower protrusion from the ceiling. The remote and app are fully functional. It was easy to connect to WiFi. We’re very pleased and would recommend this fixture.

Unfortunately, not a fan of this fan. Blade looked a lot bigger in the picture relative to the actual product, and more importantly, the build was cheap. It was made out of really flimsy plastic, and I honestly wouldn't really trust the product for long term durability. Assembly was relatively straightforward, but the attachment points were pretty finnicky. I'm not sure how long the fan will last with constant use, especially with varied speeds during operation. I'd probably steer away and grab something from Home Depot or Lowes. At least you can probably see the demo model before purchasing.

5 stars for the fan it self. Fan is very quiet and I like the different lights intensities. I was skeptical at first about the air flow for such a relatively small fan blades. I installed it in my 12×12 den and it generates plenty of air flow. 1 star for the lack of instructions. Finally sent an Amazon request to the seller. They ended up sending me a file with the instructions, but the font was SO small I could not read it. I had to take a phone pic and enlarged it so I could see what was written on it. Also the phone app is poor ar best. It took 20 minutes to connect and that includes having to delete the app, reboot the phone and reinstall the app. Also, no instructions on how to set it up, but due to my background I was able to figure it out. I'm not saying not to purchase this item just be aware. I've installed probably 40+ fans in my life for myself and family/friends and NEVER had so many problems. Granted it's not like your traditional fan, but would have been easy with decent instructions.
