This hutch is wonderful. I bought it for our guinea pigs. We had a tank plus a playpen to allow them to stretch their legs. This consolidates their living situation a bit! They love it. They immediately started exploring and popcorning all over. The assembly was simple and took my husband maybe 45 minutes after I unboxed it. You do need an electric drill and a screw driver. It’s very easy to move. We kept the wheels off and carried it from our living room to my daughter’s room easily. If I needed to push it down the hallway alone I could have. We also kept the asphalt roof off the second floor to leave it open air. Our guinea pigs are too small to climb out. We are using the second floor for all of their food and it’s just easier to restock everything this way. We added: a hanging hay feeder that we hung with nails and a hidey castle plus washable puppy pee pads, a cozy fleece blanket and a fleece lined tunnel. I might want the wire mesh to be a little sturdier if I was going to have this outside. And I would want the latches to lock to keep raccoons out. But for indoors I think it’s fine. ... show more

It’s a beautiful hutch and my little baby girl (she’s about 3 months old and she’s the cutest little bunny I’ve ever seen) absolutely adores all the space, however, it does feel very cheap. Which, you get what you pay for. It’s a great size for one bunny, two could probably fit comfortably but I wouldn’t go further than that. All of the doors and removable trays make it super easy to clean and super easy to catch her when it’s time to clean it lol. I chose not to put the wheels on as I have tile floors and no amount of locking will stop castor wheels from sliding on them. However, I feel if the wheels were on you would have a much easier time moving this from room to room if you needed to, making it slightly more portable than without wheels. Solid buy for the price, but the longevity and solidarity of the hutch are mildly questionable. ... show more

It’s good , it’s not that big as the pic shows , the part are not that good because it’s easy to break in pieces so if you build it and break little pieces, that’s exactly what I’m mean jaja , my bunny like it but he used the bottom part only

    • Good design concept, poor execution and material choices.

So, first of all make sure you have sandpaper, wood glue and touch up paint before you start unpacking. Many pieces had chips and were splintering. I was disappointed in the quality, but it was already opened and my rabbits needed a home right away. I was impressed with how well it was packaged so that it didn’t receive any damage in shipping, however it appears they may have been a bit too eager to package it and not all parts with glue had fully dried before being packaged, so the packaging was stuck to those pieces. The instructions were good after one got the hang of them and I was able to assemble it by myself. It does have a strong odor and you may want to wait a day before putting your bunnies in it. But the smell is mostly the scent of the wood used - fir. I purchased the two-story hutch with the ramp and a door that can close and separate the two levels. This is a great design and has worked well for keeping 2 rabbits that get along but will nibble on each other if kept together 24/7. However, I would add a latch for keeping the ramp up flush to the lower ceiling when separating the two levels, so that the rabbit on the bottom level has more space (and isn’t trying to go up the ramp and head butt the door). As is, I need to remove the rabbits, take everything out, remove the top tray and unscrew the ramp. Also, the door that becomes a ramp for the rabbit to go out and explore into an attached play area is wire mesh - which the rabbits don’t like walking on. It would be better if this door was wood. I’d also recommend that the upstairs portion have more open wire walls so it is not so dark. Rabbits are going to chew, so I’m not sure how you get around this, but this wood is super soft and easy to chew. In just a few weeks hardly any part has been left untouched. I can only assume that at some point it will lose its structural integrity. Along that same vein - the latch inside the cage to hold open the door between the two levels is wood. Or I should say was. Because it has been completely chewed off. That should’ve been metal hardware. Lastly, this is advertised as an indoor/outdoor hutch. I’ve only used it inside. The type of thin untreated wood used is not suitable for outside weather conditions. If it got wet it would absorb that and become mildewy and rot quickly. The asphalt roof is not enough to keep blowing rain out and water would just pool up in the floor trays, creating a sick rabbit situation. In summation, the design concept, appearance and potential functionality is good, the execution falls short. ... show more

It is smaller than you might think but reasonably suitable for a small breed rabbit such as a Holland Lop. We have one rabbit in it and she really seems to enjoy it, she quickly figured out how to use the ramp from one level to the next. Much smaller than I anticipated. Or maybe my rabbit is very large for the cage. He’s too big to go up and down the stairs so the upstairs is pointless. Very much cheaply made. Haven’t had it but maybe two weeks and the wheel broke off. Not sure how ur supposed to keep bedding in the cage so the rabbit isn’t just wallowing in their feces when u go to pull the trays out to clean them, it pushes the bedding out everywhere no matter how little you put in it. It’s definitely a cute idea and easy to assemble, but you get what you pay for. ... show more

I really like this hutch! My bunny seems to enjoy it. Over all I would definitely recommend this item. Well worth it. But I do have to say that I am unhappy with my bunny having to walk around in his pee and poop. There is no crate to walk on. There is just the litter tray.
