This is a very spaceous hutch and my rabbit loves the 2 stories. The wood is very soft. The door locks barely lock, and come open if the rabbit jiggles the door. 1st suggestion: I replaced each lock with 2 locks, so each door has its own lock. My rabbit learned how to open the door within 3 days with the locks the hutch came with! 2nd suggestion: If you use tha ramp, do not put in the room divider in the bottom section. 3rd suggestion: put something on the roof to weight it down a little, or medium rabbits will learn to lift that too! (My Rabbit is a velveteen lop).

Looks pretty good. Fairly easy to build if you can fix all the problems it comes with. By step 2 I realized that the back has no guides, so I accidentally attached the top part too high, had to take it apart 10 minutes later and fix it: that was my mistake, I will admit that. By step 4 they stop telling you which screws to use which isn't hard to figure out but still unprofessional and annoying. By the last step I realized that the shims to hold the top partition are way too close. I either had to remove them and place them myself or get a thinner partition. I realized the back and the underside of the roof were damaged like they'd been smashed, but the box was in pristine condition when I received it from FedEx. The ramp attaches very flimsy, the latches arrived rusted, a few of the screws had phillips heads that weren't punched all the way making it impossible to use them. All in all, the design is fine. I just won't support this company anymore. Some poor kid in China put this together and got paid jack for it. No wonder it's a pile. I would have been better off piecing this together by hand from a hardware store. Stronger, better design, and cheaper. Don't waste your money or your time on this garbage.

The unit was damaged right out of the box. The bottom side of the top lid was damaged AT THE FACTORY. An unacceptable patch was attempted on that side, like we wouldn't notice it. I simply cannot accept that a company which tries to cover up a known issue at the factory, rather than do the right thing and give us exactly what we paid for. I could, however, accept that it was damaged in shipping, but this was evident prior to packaging it for shippment. I am disappointed in the service.

Product arrived timely and did have to be assembled. It arrived much larger than I expected it to be so that was a bonus. We revamped the design somewhat to create an upper and lower cage units for Coturnix Quail and have been able to house 1 Roo and 6 hens in each unit. They are easy to clean and have access to eggs with plenty of room for everyone. I'm sure this product would also work with rabbits as it was intended. We are very happy with the quality of the product and assemble was a one person job.

Hello All, My husband and I bought this hutch to house two male guinea pigs in our home without sacrificing too much floor space in our room. Yes, I know. We already spot clean everyday, and deep clean twice a week. Nothing is romantic about a smelly bedroom. The only reason I can say it's "okay" and give the three stars, is because my husband "Jerry rigged" it. Now, it looks okay. You have to give on the sturdiness...it's cedar. Cedar's soft. But, who the heck did they hire to ship this thing?! They must have thrown this hutch on the ground from three stories, take a baseball bat to it, then drag it from back of the truck on a rope!!! There was damage on the inside of the roof, three of the four feet were actually off (they were screwed in) and several of the wooden pieces were splintered, chipped, off, etc. If you feel up to the repairs, buy it. Once you get it together, it will serve what you bought it for well. BUT, just know there is work for you before hand. P.S. The directions are minimally helpful at best. Don't worry. You'll figure it out...we did.

In all reality I was truly afraid of what to expect but I really adored the hutch. So I pushed aside the bad reviews and went ahead and purchased it. I was amazed! Yes, the packaging was beaten but the product had minor dents. Nothing noticeable. The packaging was very cheap styrofoam that clung on to the wood but a few sweeps with the broom worked just fine! The smell of cedar is certainly strong but my hutch is placed outdoors. For people stating that it's woobily, it is, if you don't tighten up the screws. You can also add some wood glue! I was amazed that it was bigger than I thought, from the reviews I was afraid my rabbits would be cramped! But they're not, I'm currently housing 3 rabbits soon to be 4 (mini rexs). If you add the ramp, don't add the bottom cubby! I accidentally did that my first run. No mesh can be a problem if you're rabbit isn't litter box trained but it's certainly great for their feet! Rabbits have been chewing on it but hey, they're rabbits! I will admit the hardest part was the ramp and latch because there was no pre made holes directing you where to put them, but it's all good! I really love how sturdy the latch is. The intructions were very straight to the point, but you get it all worked out. It will certainly help with a power drill and an extra pair of hands is helpful! I did my by myself and a regular screwdriver. But it really is just the luck of the draw! Don't let these reviews scare you, you can always return it and there's a years warranty!
