This was a great value! I love The two-in-one function of the lid and the pot. I ended up cooking burgers although it and I worked wonderfully. Cast iron is great as long as you keep it well seasoned and well cared for! I appreciated the added rubber grippies for the handles. I ended up making soup in the pot and it cooked well. I did have to watch it more carefully, as I can't see through the lid and my soup got very condensed 🤣 I like to season my cast iron with avocado oil. I'm very happy with this pot!

I make artesian style bread and this is the best cast iron set to do this with. Use the lid as the base and the pot as the dome. It is the right size for a one pound loaf. It is easy to clean, it's as good as nonstick. The pot came preseasoned and easy to keep that nice coating. When I braise meat on the pot I can use the lid for pan roasting veggies. The lid has a grating on the top I have not tried yet,but boil potatoes and grill steaks on the lid?

First of all, regarding other reviews, the word is ARTISAN, or ARTISANAL, rather than ARTESIAN, which is a whole other thing. I had to get that off of my chest. I got my oven the other day and was careful to season it twice in my oven. You've got to follow directions to prevent rust. And it is a bit rough on the inside so, depending on what you are baking there may be some residue that sticks to the sides. But for bread, and using good parchment paper, that is not an issue. I had great results, right from the first loaf. I can't speak to using the oven for other foods, but for bread, it's 5 stars.

Love this set I’ve had it for months and use them daily. Great with all dishes, I use the pot for frying very often, and the pan is great for breads, wraps, crackers. Everything tastes amazing using these.

What I like most is this can be used over a fire or stove top. The cast iron has a gritty texture, distributes heat evenly, size is great for a big roast, stew, whole chicken, etc. The lid fits on top, but doesn't lock in place to the pot. This came with two silicone holders for the hot handles. Overall, the quality of the item seems alright. This isn't the same texture as the smoothness of a Lodge brand cast iron skillet. As long as the user seasons the pot, it should work just right for their cooking needs. Maybe I should scrub and season a few times to remove the gritty/sticky texture.

We just steak on the lid. The other day we just baked a bread in it too. This is a multi use pan/pot. It is sturdy, heavy, and not huge. It fits nicely on a counter because it looks nice too.

I got this as a began making sourdough bread. As a beginner this was suggested so because I like cast-iron I got this set and it turned out wonderful to use and even though I have two disabled thumbs I can manage it in and out the very hot oven. I having the lid on the bottom and using the top as a cover I get better rise out of my sourdough loaves. Of course we use this for all my needs for Dutch oven. I highly recommend this product. It’s a very good price point also
