I'm a 170 pound man, and I can use my full weight on this thing, with downward pressure and everything. It doesn't budge. I'm completely impressed by this thing's strength. I've tested it with multiple full lifts. Also see the picture with my trying to force movement with the force of a hand and foot from above. There are ways to make sure your seal is solid. Pressing into it as you're about to clamp down seems to help. The clamps being tough seems to generally indicate a stronger grip, so use that as your baseline. Follow the included, clear instructions.

The last thing you want is for this to move exactly when you most need it not to. As long as you clean the area well and have enough flat area for both ends to get good suction, this handle isn't going anywhere. Very well made, quality product.

longer hold and larger suction cups make this the safest grab bar. Only screwed-in types would be safer. Note: always check that both ends are secured before trusting your safety. After a week, both ends are still fully stuck on.
