Magnet is plenty strong, I am laughing at the people saying it doesn't because I am sure they did not put the required metal plate on their phone. IT will not stick through your Otterboxes fools! Didn't stick to my fake leather dash, but is sticking tight to plastic and metal.

Although this is a good product, however when the interior gets hot, the adhesive breaks down and the holder cannot stay in place. I had to order some 3M VHB tape to resolve this issue.

I've had this in my 4Runner for a while now. No issues. The ball joints are holding tight. The adhesive is still strong as keep be despite my vehicle being parked outside in the Georgia heat.

I hope both the manufacturer and all potential buyers read this. I’ve been using Carmount for years. I’ve bought a couple for myself and as gifts. I first was buying the minimal mount. I LOVED it. It had a nice design for when my phone wasn’t on the mount, the adhesive was hulk strong and made it through Texas heat, without failing me. It was this clear, gooey adhesive. Also didn’t ruin my dashboard. I decided I wanted to get this mount because it expanded and I wanted a better angle from my seat. I was pumped… until it arrived. The mount itself.. amazing! So cool, has a lot of positioning. But the adhesive. You’d be lucky if it would hold a leaf- no, I’m not being dramatic I’m being real. It was this weak black 3M sticker, that had ZEROOOOOO grip. It wouldn’t even stick to the dashboard with its own weight, yes I did prep the surface before attempting to place. So I wrote a letter directly to carmount asking about the quality and what they suggest. They asked me for my purchase number so they could look into it. I sent my Amazon order number. I got a automatic response telling me to file a request with Amazon about my shipment details and issues. I know I bought through Amazon, but they didn’t make this item. So now I have no mount because I took mine off to put the new one on and the new one doesn’t work. So I’ll be returning and I hope everyone reads this and doesn’t spend their hard earned money that the company is cutting cost by cutting quality, which means you’ll be spending more. Look elsewhere. And for the company. Shame on you for brushing a customer off who was very loyal to your brand and was just trying to get a solution to the issue you created, because I wanted to keep your product. Update: two additional customer service exchanges later, manufacturer told me they can’t help me with direction about quality of adhesive, and to contact Amazon so they can resolve (despite the fact I’ve told them I’m not trying to get a return through them for something I bought on Amazon. I’m trying to get help about their product).

Works perfect. Searched for the best "minimalist" phone mount for my '21 Camry. Not a fan of the bulky window hangers or overly robot-like configurations. This mount fit nicely in the upper left of the radio and holds the phone firmly without getting in the way of the instrument panel and controls. Highly recommend if you are searhing for the same fit.

I was so excited about this, had the perfect mounting spot, minimal size so minimal impact on sight, strong magnet….. But, the magnet won’t hold tight for an iPhone! If you have an iPhone you’ll have to use the included metal pad stickers. Unfortunately these negate the ability to use the wireless chargers ARRGGHH! Also, these metal pads stick great to the magnet, but the adhesive does not stick well to the iPhone, so the metal pad stays stuck to the magnet, not your iPhone!!! And the heat from charging your iPhone completely negates the adhesive! Bad product for iPhone all around.
