I purchased this item for a little extra security in the shower. Our shower floor can get slippery and I’ve had a couple of close calls. I thought I’d try this out as something to hang onto occasionally when I might feel a little less secure. First of all, the picture shows two products, but you only get one. Be aware of that. Second, this is a quality item. It’s well made, fairly heavy, and grips like crazy! My shower is a fiberglass surround and it grips it very securely—this product won’t fall off on its own. It’s been up over a month and when I grab it while in the shower, it is still holding strong. Installation was a breeze. Position it where you want and push down on the little levers. Not where you want it? Push up on the levers and reposition. And it isn’t destroying my shower surround, so if I remove it, no one will even know it was there.

These grab bars are a scam and they don’t work. Don’t waste your money. Installed them on a clean smooth tile . They stayed on for a day then fell off. Cleaned the surface and still no luck. They keep coming off. They are dangerous and should not be used . Cheap product it’s a scam!!!. I wouldn’t even rate it with one star. Picture shows two bars but you only get one.

I needed a good strong handle and there is no good spot for us to drill holes in our shower. I read many reviews on different suction handles and I concluded that tile and fiberglass are just not compatible with suction type handles. Fiberglass might look smooth but probably is not perfectly airtight. I tried on tile and it did not stay in place. But tile is not flat, it has a rough uneven surface. So I planned on placing on a glass surface in the shower. The good thing is I can see from the other side whether the contact area changed over several days, which would tell me the suction cup was losing air, and it did not. It has held in place for nearly two weeks. Very strong. The only thing is the pane of glass it is on is more likely to break than the suction and that could be a problem if you have to put your whole weight on it. This is good for keeping your balance but I would be concerned over putting your whole weight on it.

I purchased this suctioned grab bar for my shower. It was very easy to assemble and provides good stability for a senior in the shower. If you need to grab on to the bar in the event of a slip in the shower, it will do the trick. It provides enough grip to keep a person from falling or slipping in the shower. It is not however a permanent bar, so the manufacturer cautions against supporting yourself during a complete shower.

The suction cups hold well. I always check the vacuum indicator to make sure they are holding at maximum strength. I need to remove them if I go on a trip. They will fall off and nick the finish of the shower pan if i'm gone more than a week. I live at 7,500 ft elevation so the holding force is 3/4 that at sea level. I have two in my shower and rely on them to help me keep my balance at age 82. I am confident that they will safely hold me up when each suction cup is freshly reset. My safety and confidence is worth the price I paid.

We installed the 19" and the 17" shower bars. The Heinsy product is great. They are incredibly easy to assemble. It takes a bit of pressure to get them to strongly adhere to the wall surface but it was done and they feel very secure. Not at all wobbly or shabby. This is a great product, very well made and sturdy. We bought two, but had we only bought one, we would definitely buy another. I highly recommend this product. The product was well-packaged and delivered quickly.
