I bought this projector as a Christmas gift for my sister, and it turned out to be a great choice for her family. They love having movie nights with their kids and even invite some of the neighborhood families over, so this fit right into their routine. We actually used it on Christmas night in their basement to watch Christmas movies. I’ll be honest — I had a little trouble getting it set up at first, but my nephew jumped in and had it working in just a few minutes. So I’m not sure what I was doing wrong, but once he got it going, it worked great. The picture quality really surprised me — it was bright, clear, and looked great even projected right onto the wall. Everyone had a good time, and it made the whole movie night feel a lot more fun and “theater-like” for the kids. The next day, my mom and sisters used it again to watch K-dramas on what they jokingly called “the big screen.” It was literally just the basement wall, but it still felt like a fun experience and gave everyone a reason to sit together and watch. All in all, it has already been a good buy, and I think they’re going to get a lot of use out of it for family nights, gatherings, and just relaxing together. It turned out to be a really nice gift.

This projector actually impressed me right out of the box , the brightness is strong enough that the picture doesn’t wash out even when the room isn’t pitch black, which I wasn’t expecting at this price. The auto focus snaps into place quickly, so you’re not standing there twisting knobs like it’s 1998. The 1080p image looks clean, and the 4K support makes streamed movies look way better than they have any business looking from a budget projector. The built-in 360° audio is decent for casual movie nights, though I hooked up a Bluetooth speaker when I wanted a little more punch. For the size and convenience, it’s a solid choice for anyone trying to set up easy movie nights without overthinking it.

I had this up and running next to a $50 projector that I got around the same time: PROS: -Resolution is as advertised (1080p24/30, can get 4K30 input, but displays it as 1080p) -Google ecosystem is trusted and well-known, the core apps have good base functionality CONS: -Missing a lot of options to tweak color/saturation/etc. -UI is slower-response than the cheap projector (huge miss IMO). -Brightness isn't notably better than a projector that advertises a third of what this one is supposed to offer. Overall, I love the image in general, and the sound quality is fine. The lack of options for tweaking a lot of stuff on here that's missing is a bit of a burden, and the slow UI is painful to use, especially when you see it running faster on cheaper hardware.

The Smart Projector is built and designed very sturdy with a solid stable platform base. Picture quality is very good for my office presentations. Remote control is easy to use. The user manual maybe a bit confusing for someone with low tech background.
