The installation instructions are easy to follow, the material is great quality, and it does exactly as it advertised...saves space. I only rated the stability a 4-star because the product videos show all example bikes with wide tires; however, if you have narrower tires (my bike is a hybrid and its tires are much narrower than say a mountain bike or cruiser) then you bottom tire support has too much room and doesn't hold/brace the tire securely. To add better stability at the base I added a foam pad to rest my tire on and fill the gap of the wheel support. As you can see it works very well, is stable, and now stands straight and secure. The stand also comes with a front tire velcro strip to lock your front tire and prevent your handlebars from turning. Again, the product video doesn't show this with the types of bikes they domonstrate, but I experienced my handlebar immediately turning to one side or the other making the wheel stick out. The velco strip works very well and hold the front tire securely allowing it to be inline and the wheel to stay straight. I have a standard two car garage and decided to place my stand and bike in one of the corners. It fits perfect, then handlebars are out of the way, and allows access for two cars and plenty of space to walk around the car next to where the bike is parked. This is a great product, well made, easy to assemble and worth the price. It does exactly what I wanted it to do...hold my bike securely and save space.

I was hesitant to buy this, as some reviews stated it was unstable, wouldn't hold a wide tire, etc. I wanted to write this review as a response to those, and help people struggling with whether or not to buy this, based on some of the questions I had. So, here goes.... First, this thing was really easy to assemble. Now, to be fair I am a pretty handy guy, but it came with written instructions (WITH PICTURES), and is only a handful of parts. Assembly tools were included, and did the job fine. It took me MAYBE 5 minutes to put together. Secondly, some people complained that it wasn't sturdy. This has not been my experience. Just make sure you get all the hardware good and tight, and this thing is fine. I can get my bike to rock on it a bit if I bump it or push it, but I have ZERO concerns about my bike "falling off of it", as mentioned in a few of the other reviews. I have a relatively heavy mountain bike, and do not feel a need to "tip toe" around it, lecture my kids about avoiding it, or putting caution tape around it. It holds my bike fine until I need to take it down. Lastly, my biggest concern was whether or not this stand would accommodate my mountain bike. I have a 27.5 PLUS bike with Kenda 2.8" tires. It works fine. My tires do not sit "inside the track", but rather on the track. This does not seem to affect the functionality of this stand AT ALL. As mentioned above, it holds my bike VERY securely. It is easy to use, and keeps my bike out of the way. If i had to knock it down for something, I would ding it on "value". I think it's over priced for what it is. I highly doubt that the manufacturing costs, or the raw materials come close to justifying the retail price. However, when looking around for a product that would meet my needs (space available, bike size, etc), there wasn't anything else that would have worked for me, so I was willing to pay it. I hope this review helps someone decide whether or not this product will work for them.

Like most other reviews on here, it’s a good stand for what I need it for, but wouldn’t call it the sturdiest. I have a small apartment and didn’t want to put holes in the wall. I saw this on a commercial and thought why not. It does what I need, hold’s my bike up-right to give me more space. The strap is holding most of the bike, so ensure that is wrapped around tight or your bike will fall off. Overall happy with it, just wish there was a clamp to hold the bike instead of a Velcro strap. Super easy to assemble too, took me less then 30 Minutes and I can’t even put IKEA furniture together, haha.

With an asterisk or two, these worked exactly as I had hoped. I have seen questions with mixed answers about whether these fit mountain bike tires. My bikes have Maxxis 27.5x2.40, and they fit perfectly. My tires pretty much align with the edges of the troughs. I'm guessing slightly wider tires would still be held by the trough. My bike is a Bronson medium frame, and it stands with the seat and handlebars vertically aligned with the Bike Nook post in the highest position. I expect larger bikes would "lean back" toward the wall more, hopefully still stably. These really cleaned up the corner of my garage, and it's really easy to get the bikes out now. A few notes: Because the bike leans back toward the wall a bit, there's actually a bit of room for small stuff along the wall behind. One issue: The provided velcro strap for the front wheel is NOT long enough for the Bronson MTB. I was going to resort to a bungee cable, but discovered that I could position the Nook so that the handlebars make gentle contact with the wall, which holds things in place. And assembly. It's actually easy. The directions are in fine but legible print. Order of assembly matters, so I do recommend taking the trouble to explicitly follow them, or you may find yourself rewinding a step or two. Ordinarily this wouldn't matter, but the main issue is that the little allen wrench they give you is so soft that it's very nearly unusable. You can't really tighten the fasteners properly, and if you try you will strip the end of the tool. Neither of mine made it to completion of assembly. No problem if you have your own tools, but still, an annoyance. In summary though, great idea, and they really work for me!

With five bikes and an oversized yet overcrowded garage, I needed to come up with a better solution than having all five bikes horizontal, so I took a chance on this Nook. I bought it a year ago but then promptly forgot about it, as I tackled other garage issues, but decided to drag the box out today and see if this Nook would meet my storage needs. Overall impression: meh. Once set up, it's fairly stable even with the bike lodged vertically. The setup itself went pretty quickly. But it seems that tire width and any back-of-the-bike accessories are going to make this a wonderful product or relegate it to the pile of "coulda been great" accessories. This bike has skinnyish tires, so it's not sitting as straight up and secure as I'd like. But it does work better for other bikes, and it's not terribly expensive, and it's obvious that some care went into the design. Why two stars? My package was missing one bolt, the allen wrench, the socket wrench, and the instructions. Annoying, but easy enough to find the instructions online and replace the bolt and use my own tools. In their place were two wood screws, one with the head painted white. The instructions I found online referenced a strap to hold the front tire tight and vertical, but I didn't get a strap and the list of included items didn't note a strap. So: two stars because there's too much DIYing of parts (who knows what each box does and does not include?) and, in the end, it solved one problem (space) but created another (not trusting the bike to actually sit stable for long periods of time, which the bike does now since it's horizontal). I'm sure there's a great solution out there. This is not it.

In brief: This stand is an overall safety hazard made of flimsy materials that is not suitable for a wide range of bicycles, as the description reads, which is also very misleading with regard to "...and lock in place" considering when mounted, the bike is free to fall in any direction at any moment. Detailed review provided simply because I cannot understand the many glowing reviews and after hands-on experience I hope the time it takes me to write this out will prevent a future headache for a prospective buyer (oh, I'm also on CVOID19 quarantine...as you should all be too...so I have nothing better to do, so, enjoy!).. Details: Beware. This is a very unstable stand. Not only that, but it does NOT host a variety of bike's with differing tire withs.; commuter and road bikes will NOT fit, causing the bike to dangerously lean 15+ degrees to whatever side you allow gravity to reign. I didn't want to leave my bike unattended on this stand even while simply standing less than a foot away, prepping myself for certain doom. While the stand did not fall/fail, even when applying a relative amount of pressure, mostly because the leg span is a proper distance to keep its footing, I did note the stand began to move toward the opposite direction of the pressure despite it being put together properly by the supplied instructions. The moment I applied even the slightest amount of pressure on the bike itself, the bike immediately became disengaged from the stand and gave way. I was lucky to catch because I have a very light bike, another qualm I have considering this stand is rated for bikes nearly 3+ times the weight of mine. Admittedly I am no engineer, but I believe the faulty nature of this seemingly sturdy stand is based on where the bolt holes are located in conjunction with where a bicycle places pressure on the stand once assembled and in place. The cheap included hardware may add to the instability all around, because overall constructive integrity is based on all components working together/against each other properly when torqued down to spec. The most disappointing, and possibly most dangers, aspect of this stand, is that the description claims that the bike simply "lock(s) in place" and this is absolutely not true. Maybe my ignorance proceeds me in this case, but my assumption was that there was some type of safety clasp/collar that would 'lock' (as per the description) the bike's seat pole onto the stand to prevent it from falling forward/off of the rack. The bike only rests on a concave nylon post end, which when the bike sways to its awkward vertical resting position, bodes for a very scary sight in totality. Even though I already planned on returning immediately upon unboxing the poor quality components, I tinkered with it for quite a while because I really wanted it to work. Experimentation began: I decided to lower the seat post portion in hopes that if I cantilevered the bike a bit more backwards it would fix and properly align its weird resting position, and provide some stability to both the stand and the bike. By doing this, the rear wheel was forced away from the vertical wheel rest, offering an equally unstable variation. I oscillated through a few different resting height positions to no avail. Other similar products provide various different systems to affix the bike to the stand when engaged (straps, bungees, clips, wheel guides, wheel hoops, etc.) so just, be mindful that this has NONE (not safe around kids/pets, in garages around cars, indoors, etc...bike can literally fall forward at any time). All in all, it is the misguided fitment of most bike tires that causes for these issues to present themselves in a potential hazard, not to mention the bike looks absolutely TERRIBLE when leaning egregiously to one side. So if you have a mountain bike with girthy tires, or a fat-tire cruiser, or suppose you are 'organizing' a slew of bikes in a garage FAR away from parked vehicles, then this stand may work for you, however there are countless similar options, some of which are cheaper, that are guaranteed to be a safer and more suitable product. If you read this review and still order this product, the quarantine has gotten to you, as is evident per this unnecessarily lengthy review I have taken the time to write to prevent YOU from making the same mistake I did. Anyways, it's almost 3AM - time for COVOID19 breakfast #1 before I go take a nap to wake up or numbers 2, 3, 4, and so forth until I decided it's lunch, lunner, and then dinner, intermittent naps all in between of course. This process on repeat...OKAY BYE.

We moved to a condo with 2-levels underground parking. We own 2 folding mountain bikes; not heavy but also not light. In our new home, we no longer need to travel to the trails as we now live much closer by but due to limited space, we had to store both bikes in the back of our SUV. While this saved space indoors it added complexity that ultimately demotivated us to ride at all. Not only did we have to unload, unfold, and inflate; we now also had to carry the bikes up two flights of cork-screw stairs!.. Our first attempt to correct the situation was to bring the bikes, fully assembled, indoors. It solved some problems but created others. In-home, they were a bulky, unsightly booby-trap. Enter the Bike Nook. We don't have enough wall space for a wall mounted solution or anything that would stick out. Even if we did, while lifting a bike for one reason or other is unavoidable, lifting one over your head is another thing entirely. No thanks. The Bike Nook is perfect. It doesn't add visual or physical bulk to already bulky equipment. Though not decorative, the Nooks allow our bikes to occupy a mere 3.5 square feet of space in the farthest back, out of the way, corner of our den/bonus room. No more bumping into them and trying catch yourself and the bike before either of you hit the ground. If you push there's a tiny wobble but not dangerously so. The Bike Nook is generally very sturdy with thick coated steel parts. Note: We also don't have the space to roll these two wheeled onto the stands the way you'd back up a car but the Bike Nook still works. We simply raise onto the back tire and roll into position. One star off only because of the small jiggle that seems to go away once loaded. It's not enough to make the bikes unstable (our bikes don't move!) but could be even sturdier if, for example, more of it were welded together rather than assembled with screws. Otherwise, it's very well built and solved our problem so despite the nit-pick, we love it.

I purchased this for a light weight, bare bones MTB 26er hard tail with a long exposed seat post no reflectors or fenders and I live in a small apartment. I have owned and used it for over 2 months. As others have mentioned, first impression was that it could stand to be just a tad beefier. That said, assembly was intuitive and took less than 5 minutes. When adjusted properly it's kind of amazing how well it works without any clamps just gravity. The stand and bike takes up about half the space (horizontally) of leaning my bike against the wall. I placed it in the corner of the room with the seat and bars towards the wall and that really opened up the wall and floor space. I have had a wall mounted bike rack/hanger system and find this arrangement to be more functional and aesthetic, plus it can be moved around without damaging the walls. This was an excellent solution for my needs and I would recommend it.
