Good Product. I used this this light in my pasture along the fence line. I find that I can use the options for dim on and then bright when motion is detected. I can feed and water my animals without a flashlight and know I can see where I'm going. I like the fact that I can see where my animals are in certain parts of the pasture at night. The only item I'm not happy with is the durability on the support arm for the light to the mounting bracket. I put one light on a the hinge side of the gate post to see the gate area. When I jerked the gate open, the light, which is mounted on a pole, broke between the light and bracket. I did not suspect that to happen. The pole on the post can wabble. The bracket broke and the light dropped to the ground. I'm now looking to see if I can buy a support bracket to replace the one that broke. I suspect there is not any of these replacement parts available. If I get a re placement, I can respond that that was taken care of and give 5 stars. ... show more

    • This solar light works ok, but I am concerned over longevity. Install instructions poor.

The instructions don't tell you how to adjust the plastic mounting bracket. The light ships with the bracket folded against the light panel, and it is up to the user to locate three tiny philips head screws, loosen them, and allow the bracket to be repositioned for installation. If you don't do this, a user might be tempted to use muscle and break the bracket. The bracket and mount are made of plastic, I don't think they will stand up to the intense heat and UV light so prevalent in Texas. Ice storms might add too much weight to the light and break it. But the light itself works fine. We use position 2 so the light is semi-dim but brightens when somebody walks near. The light stayed lit all night. ... show more

I love this light. The best part is that it's maintenance free. Once you hang it you will never have to touch it again unless you are just changing the mode by the included remote. Mine is mounted about 14ft in the air on the peek of my building and it stays on the dim setting until it detects a person. My Wife and I bother leave for work in the early morning when it's still dark our and it makes me feel better knowing tbe area is well lit where she parks her car. These solar powered, motion detect, LED fixtures are everything that one would wan and expect. They provide just enough light throughout the evening hours to illuminate the entire area but go super-bright when motion is detected. They are programmable, have a remote control, and I prefer the "security mode." I have one of them mounted quite high but that does not appear to limit its motion detection sensitivity.
