    • Dangerous to use cheap controls for lighting.

The knob was cracked and it is dangerous to light as the knob isn’t dependable to be at the right spot plus doesn’t seem to be regulated correctly to light the pilot light. It has a large back flash. Look nice but that is it the knob is very cheap and goes around and does not stop. Just checking as it cool enough now to use in the camper. Always bought another brand and never issues. I ran this heater in my very leaky and not entirely insulated two car garage in 17F (-8.3C) temperature for 2 hours. The temperature graph shows what happened. Aside from the air, there's a lot of mass in there (and the slab), so I'm impressed: the garage is a big leaky cold place to attempt to heat, especially given the outdoor temperature at the time. It works well... gives off plenty of heat. You definitely need to burn in multiple times on high before bringing indoors between the paint and ceramic burn in vapors that it gives off. Temperature knob will take some time to get used to.. But overall a decent machine.

Sadly, it would light but would not stay lit. Amazon did give me a full refund. It looked like a decent quality heater but there must be a fault with the thermocouple.
