Mounted onto my atv. You will need an additional bracket to mount it to whatever atv you have. Everything was perfect and easy to mount. I will say the wiring is really vague. I would appreciate the color coding according to the wiring diagram, or clearly label the wires. All in all, I would recommend it so far. This 4000LB wench can't do what it says, it is a piece of garbage. Save your money and buy a different wench. This "4000lb" wench cant even lift our 500lb golf cart up the truck. It literally takes 10 minutes to move the golf cart up about 10 feet. We had a 2500lb wench from Harbor Freight that worked great until the cable twisted so we thought we'd upgrade to a higher weight for more speed. WORST decision we have ever made. The remote cuts in and out no matter how close you are, the wire connection is not very long (maybe 2 feet??) Just a piece of crap! I would return it but can't as we modified the plug to fit into our truck. Didn't realize this would be the worst wench we have ever bought. DONT BUY IT - GET SOMETHING BETTER !!! ... show more

1st thing you notice when you try it out is, it’s wound backwards according to the controls. After rewinding it and then flipping the wench in its mount. Other then that so far it’s passed all tests.

I bought this to rip out some shrubs. Strapped the winch to a tree and pulled out a bunch of shrubs so far like you pull out weeds Negative: the wireless remote must be within 5’ of the winch for steady control but it worked fine when close. The wired remote works 100%. Mine came wound the wrong way so IN was OUT and vice verse, simply re-wound the cable the right way and it’s normal now ... show more
