Usually don't do reviews but this XPV winch from XBull is amazing. I have used this thing and pushed it to it's limit and above on several occasions and it has never let me down. I even pulled out a F250, crew cab diesel buried in the sand, loaded with camping gear pushing the 10k mark it is rated for. This is a worth while buy. Had used it 7 or 8 times in off road conditions (sand, mud ect) and worked like it should. Highly recommended

Wire provided is NOT 100% pure copper as claimed. I had to relocate the control box and found out the wire supplied is CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum) Very cheap; and carries less current than copper. Once I found out I replaced ALL the power wires to ACTUAL copper wire.

I installed this about 10 months ago. I noticed that the winch was no longer working with the wireless remote so I plugged the wired remote up and nothing. I checked the plug where the wired remote connects and found that one of the prongs was completely corroded away to nothing. There’s a rubber plug that I assume is supposed to keep moisture out. Not sure what is up with this, but I wouldn’t buy this model if it’s ever going to be left out in the weather. I guess this winch system is mostly for looks. Get a better quality winch with a better control unit that’s sealed.

I've been using this winch for a few years now and it has never let me down. It truly is waterproof and looks pretty good too. I've pulled vehicles and used it to drag logs out of the woods for my sawmill. Used it to control trees I was cutting down near my house (18-25 inch diameter trees). During the recent ice storm I was able to winch trees off the road so my neighbors and I could get in and out of our county road. I love this thing.
