Received 4 dead batteries in 3 shipments from Amazon inventory. All 4 batteries measured less than 3V out of the box. LiFePO4 batteries should NEVER be this low. Special LiFePo4 chargers don't recognize the presence of the batteries so they will not charge. Tried two different model chargers. Tried to wake up the BMS to no success. ECI sent two replacement batteries via Amazon and they arrived with even lower initial voltages. ECI answers questions via email and turn around is 24-48 hours likely because their support team is outside the US. I use LiFePO4 batteries in outdoor applications for 3 years. I've never seen out of box failures or failures if any kind in operation. Try another brand.

One day, I got the bright idea to replace the batteries in my kids Razor scooters with Lifepo4 batteries because I was tired of replacing SLA batteries. Did some research and settled on this size because the voltage characteristics and dimensions were the right replacement for the dual SLA setup in the scooters. But, was disappointed when this arrived that the instructions stated not for serial usage. What?!? After doing a bit more research into Lifepo4 batteries, yes, if you serially or parallel connect batteries that weren't designed for it, you could start a very bad fire. This comes down to the (I believe) BMS circuitry used. More expensive circuitry could handle it, but why in a smaller inexpensive battery like this. For this scooter project, I found a 24v version that I was able to shoehorn into the scooter. For this battery, instead, I pivoted and hooked this up to a low amperage solar project in parallel with another same-sized battery purchased from Amazon. Its been working find for 2 months now. Yes, its in parallel, but the load won't exceed 1 amp, so if one of these Lifepo4 batteries die, I won't be overloading the survivor, which is in line with the safety recommendations from other forums. So, yes, I recommend this battery, just know the safety limits and stay within them!

I ordered one of these and it was shipped to me at 7.7V and would not accept a charge, and then I returned it and the replacement came with 7.2V and also would not accept a charge, so I returned it too and moved on. I assume others have had better luck.

Got this to replace a lead acid gel cell in a smaller UPS that is dedicated to my wireless router. I like the idea of these LiFePO4 batteries as replacements for older gel cells because they can survive multiple deep discharge cycles and still bounce right back, plus they weigh a lot less, too. But some of my UPS systems (I have five) just simply don't like them. They report low charge levels and other issues, even chirping alarms complaining a good battery is dead. However, so far, this battery is doing just fine. No complaints from the UPS box, which is an APC brand. It could just be that this UPS box that doesn't mind a LiFePO4 battery, or it could be the battery. I did note that the battery voltage is stated as 12.8vDC, not the higher 14vDC on many LiFePO4's, even thought both varieties have always had built-in battery monitoring systems to manage charging. But I'm thinking it is this 12.vDC that is making a difference is compatibility, letting the UPS think the battery is just like the older gel cell, and matching built-in recharge profiles. Either way, I'm happy it is working well.

Bought it Dec 28 and measured the voltage - seemed charged. Went to install on Feb 7, and voltage was nearly zero. Put on a slow charger at 14.5v overnight and no change. Unreliable. Does not function as a battery. Does not charge, does not produce any current. Waste of money.

I ordered this in October and it just arrived a few days before Christmas. I've knocked one star off for that. All told though it seems like a nice little battery. It has about 64watt-hours and can sustain a max load of 64 watts (it specifically says to not use it for starting a car or bike, as high-draw can damage things). You can put up to four in series and four in parallel. You won't be running a microwave or such off it, but you could get some lights or phone power or such for a small cabin.

This is a general usage lithium battery that has a somewhat limited capacity at 5 amp hours. But for such a tiny battery it does pack a lot of energy. We will use this battery to power one of our camp shower 12 volt pumps. We tested it yesterday after running it on the lithium battery charger first. It was able to power our RV style water pump and run a test that involved the equivalent of five showers each around 5 minutes in length. It passed the test. I give this battery an excellent rating. I feel as if this is an excellent price value. 4 stars because the 5 AH capacity is on the small side for this type of battery. But if this is all the capacity you need, then this battery is a great value.
