The media could not be loaded. Small for four chickens. It is cute. It is better for two chickens especially if you’re going to have food and water in there as well. The run area does feel a little flimsy. But what do you you expect for $179. This is great for someone starting off. The housing unit is solid. But like I said not very much room. There are 2 nesting boxes per se in the housing unit. We put chicken wire up to give our girls more room to roam. Overall, I’m happy with what I purchased. I fortunately have more room to work with, to give the chickens extra space. Good for first time chicken owners. It took my husband and I four hours to put together, we were stoned though! I have a lot of pain.

Received this coop as a gift from my husband after years of begging for our own tiny flock. This Coop is made of pine and is relatively sturdy. Personally, I would say this is more appropriate for three chicken max, unless you're keeping bantam breeds. It is easy to assemble, took some time of course, but nothing really technical or difficult at all. Because I live in a high humidity, warm climate (region 9) I am hedging my bets to keep it good condition as long as possible by applying a indoor/outdoor/UV protective polyurethane to it. It is a more expensive poly, but fromy own experience believe it is well worth the investment for the payout. Would highly recommend doing this so if you want it to last longer, too. I did have an issue with a few pieces being damaged during shipment, nothing the seller did wrong. The issues were a relatively easy fix at home, so I reached out to the seller to see how we could mitigate the issue. Seller was extremely responsive, and very willing to come to a mutually agreeable solution. Would absolutely recommend this as a starter coop for anyone hopping on chicken tender train, and because of the awesome customer service I received, would recommend this company for anything they sell.

Easy to set up. Material is pretty cheap. Great starter but definitely not a forever coop. It’s definitely too small for 4-6 chickens. We had 2 laying hens and it was just the right size for our ladies. Over all the coop is really easy to clean & manage, you could also move it around your yard because it isn’t too heavy. I would recommend adding chicken wire underneath for extra security from rodents and other things that might try to go after your hens or eggs. You would have to add on extra space if you cannot free range. The door above the laying boxes is super convenient and functions wonderfully. We had 2 dogs come into our yard and tare off the door very easily so as far as security and safety I wouldn’t recommend. Definitely have a back up plan.

Awesome chicken coop for the price. It’s not extremely durable but I didn’t expect it to be at this price. It looks really good and is sturdy enough to get the job done. We have 4 chickens in it with plenty of room for them to roam. I wrote this review right after I got it and although I really like the look of it, the coop didn’t last long without weathering. The boards are pretty thin and we had to reinforcement it within 3 months. Not great quality but to be expected for the price.

This says it's for up to 6 chickens. I'd say 4 adult chickens tops. There is 1 perch and it's at nesting box level. The only ventilation on this coop is the hardware cloth on 1 panel of the front. The coop door came unlabeled and loose in the box. We laid out all the pieces and went through the instructions. Then had to disassemble a panel to install the door. So look out for that if the door isn't on the back panel. The coop door just push slides open from inside the run. There is no external push pull lever to open the coop to the run. So you have to bend over and lean into the run. The latches on the coop and run are simple lift and slide latches. Raccoons could probably do that. If they can get into the run they could probably slide the coop door open. And if they can get into the run they could open the coop door. So extra latches would be needed. I would say egg box latch is raccoon proof. Overall It's sturdy enough for the cost and a good starter coop. It's light enough to be picked up and moved. Carefully of course. It's decently priced for what you get. Other than the door mix up the other issued can be fixed with cheap latches and even pad locks if you wanted. I'm looking into an automatic coop door also. 2 stars because the coop itself seems a bit small for 6 chickens which is what it's advertised for. 1 perch and it's so low in the coop, probably because there isn't a small round adjustable ventilation hole in the back up top.

I received my coop to prepare for my new babies to go in it. When received a piece was broken which we had to repair we had no choice as we were getting baby chicks and had no time to buy another coop and we really wanted this style. Then also when unboxing items pieces were previously broken which someone fixed and then used some other paint type to cover up the damage on 3 or 4 places on the coop to make it look like nothing happened. SORRY NOT STUPID. Due to our time frame of needing this item and already put it together so we had a home for our babies, if we were rich we would have burned it and bought another but we are not rich so we gotta go with the flow as most of us have to. I DONT RECOMMEND GETTING THIS COOP BECAUSE I AM SURE THEY ARE NOT GONNA OFFER A DISCOUNT ON THIS MESS WE GOT AND ITS NOT A CHEAP ONE like we bought a 99.99 one . NOPE WAY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THAT. DONT BUY THIS UNLESS THEY SELL FOR 99.99 SERIOUSLY. WE GOT SCREWED
