Received this coop as a gift from my husband after years of begging for our own tiny flock. This Coop is made of pine and is relatively sturdy. Personally, I would say this is more appropriate for three chicken max, unless you're keeping bantam breeds. It is easy to assemble, took some time of course, but nothing really technical or difficult at all. Because I live in a high humidity, warm climate (region 9) I am hedging my bets to keep it good condition as long as possible by applying a indoor/outdoor/UV protective polyurethane to it. It is a more expensive poly, but fromy own experience believe it is well worth the investment for the payout. Would highly recommend doing this so if you want it to last longer, too. I did have an issue with a few pieces being damaged during shipment, nothing the seller did wrong. The issues were a relatively easy fix at home, so I reached out to the seller to see how we could mitigate the issue. Seller was extremely responsive, and very willing to come to a mutually agreeable solution. Would absolutely recommend this as a starter coop for anyone hopping on chicken tender train, and because of the awesome customer service I received, would recommend this company for anything they sell. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It is sturdy, and pretty, very easy to assemble and decent value for money. But they are wrong about the room size at Max capacity it will fit 3 grown hens but no more… unless you’d like drama with the girls. All and all I’m pleased with the coop very functional ❤️

Was a little worried my Brahma rooster wouldn’t fit through the door to the actual coop. But he is able to squeeze through. Not to bad putting together. Maybe a couple of hours but was in no rush and stopped a couple of times. Using for a single rooster. Definitely not big enough for more than two hens. ... show more

It says big enough for 2-6 birds but it's more like 2-4. The run is long but not very wide and the coop is very small. It's cheaply made but you get what you pay for. Easy to put together.

Wayyyyyyyyy too small for the amount of chickens as advertised. 2 chickens would be fine. 3 is pushing it. Only one roost for chickens to perch on and it’s not really elevated. Would be nice if it had compatible run extensions

This says it's for up to 6 chickens. I'd say 4 adult chickens tops. There is 1 perch and it's at nesting box level. The only ventilation on this coop is the hardware cloth on 1 panel of the front. The coop door came unlabeled and loose in the box. We laid out all the pieces and went through the instructions. Then had to disassemble a panel to install the door. So look out for that if the door isn't on the back panel. The coop door just push slides open from inside the run. There is no external push pull lever to open the coop to the run. So you have to bend over and lean into the run. The latches on the coop and run are simple lift and slide latches. Raccoons could probably do that. If they can get into the run they could probably slide the coop door open. And if they can get into the run they could open the coop door. So extra latches would be needed. I would say egg box latch is raccoon proof. Overall It's sturdy enough for the cost and a good starter coop. It's light enough to be picked up and moved. Carefully of course. It's decently priced for what you get. Other than the door mix up the other issued can be fixed with cheap latches and even pad locks if you wanted. I'm looking into an automatic coop door also. 2 stars because the coop itself seems a bit small for 6 chickens which is what it's advertised for. 1 perch and it's so low in the coop, probably because there isn't a small round adjustable ventilation hole in the back up top. ... show more

Awesome chicken coop for the price. It’s not extremely durable but I didn’t expect it to be at this price. It looks really good and is sturdy enough to get the job done. We have 4 chickens in it with plenty of room for them to roam.

This was our first round of having chickens. It’s perfect for 6 laying chickens. We did put up fencing around and above it so no wild animals or birds could get to them. I have to say, we and our grandkids are having fun with it.
