I purchased the 5 inch mattress, would you might think is strange, and I have it placed directly on the floor. I’ve been having such back problems with my bed and my mattress for years. I tried more cushion more cushion more cushion. Recently, I stayed in a cabin with nothing more than a mattress on the floor and the mattress was maybe 3 inches. Best sleep I’ve had in years. So I decided to get myself a thin thin mattress and put it on the floor. In the day is leading up to my delivery of this mattress, my back problems were back once again pun intended. One night of sleeping on this mattress and I woke up feeling like a spring chicken no sore back no sore neck no sore shoulders. I didn’t feel tight. I didn’t feel immobilized. I woke up ready to start the day refreshed and flexible.

This mattress was presumed to be firm but.. it's very dense, bouncy and not a solid firm mattress. Will collapse easy with pressure. But medium firmness to touch. Very comfortable but I don't see it lasting very long. The coils under the foam mattress are comfortable and not like wired coils so a more comfortable sleep.
