I have never bought a mattress in a box, I was skeptical... But let me TELL YOU, THIS MATTRESS is AMAZING... SUPER SOFT.. Once you open the box( it is heavy) and you cut the wrapping off, It instantly starts opening and raising. It took no time for it to be at the queen size mattress its suppose to be. I LOVE IT.. Not bad for a low priced mattress. I was not expecting much for the price, but I was wrong. After I went through the unpack process and the mattress fully expanded, I jumped on it to test it out and immediately fell asleep. I got the 12" and that works out perfect for me because as an old man, I struggle to get out of my bed. Not anymore. The first time I got up, it was so easy I almost fell forward. So now I have to be careful. The best thing is I no longer have to struggle to get up off the bed. I had a way too spongey foam mattress before I got this and that mattress just didn't work for me anymore.
