For years we had been sleeping on an old inner spring mattress with an inexpensive 4" foam topper. It was VERY SOFT, so much so that getting out of bed was sometimes an issue. Plus I often woke up with shoulder or neck pain. FYI, I'm a side sleeper. And lately, my sleeping's just been lousy. I expect Covid-related anxiety is party to blame. Regardless I decided I wanted a new mattress. I decided on a bed in a box. I got one for both of my kids over the years and they seemed happy. Plus, there are very well reviewed products out there for way less than traditional beds. Lastly, return policies often seemed too good to be true (see more on this below). After spend days reading hundreds of reviews and watching videos, I opted for a Tuft & Needle Mint. It cost about $1K. Easy ordering, arrived promptly, set up easily, and looked great. It was rated "firm." Well, my wife HATED it. Truth be told, she didn't give it a fair try. She kind of said she wouldn't like it before it arrived, said she didn't like it after night 1, and after night 2 said she was up all night with back pain. FWIW, this mattress should have relieved her back pain, not added to it, based on firmness and the fact that she's a back sleeper. Didn't matter. Her mind was made up. It had to go. So I called T&N on day three and they were FANTASTIC. Refunded my purchase price IMMEDIATELY and said I should give it to a local charity or, failing that, give it to a friend, family member, or neighbor in need. The return policy that I thought "too good to be true" turned out to be 100% true. Good on them! I gave it to a family in a neighboring town that lost all of their possessions to a house fire. I ordered the 2.0 via Amazon because it was the more "plush" of the options and because of the literally thousands of positive reviews. Oh, the fact that the price was less than half of the T&N didn't hurt. It arrived in about 8-9 days (my only complaint). Very large box that I once again had to navigate to the second floor. Popped it open and enjoyed watching the inflating process (again). After figuring out which side was front and back we placed it in place and let it "breath" for a couple of hours. With chemical smell to keep me off it, I put a cover and sheet on it and slept on it last night. It's definitely on the plush side. I wouldn't want it any softer. But I actually found it more comfy than the 2x more expensive mattress that preceded it. "They" say soft is good for side and stomach sleepers (which I am) and they appeared correct. I only had one night on it but I'm sure it'll be fine for me. My wife joins me on it tonight and we'll have to see her reaction. Should she not like it I'll just get her a 2" topper for her side to make it softer. You can't see the actual mattress so I can't comment on its looks or fit and finish. The cover isn't at taught as the T&N's cover and the materials not as rich feeling, but it doesn't feel cheap. As a bonus, it come with two "bonus" memory foam pillows and though it did smell a little when I woke up my head was on one of them and not one of my "old" pillows. I can't speak to its return policy and hope I don't have to. But I am comfortable saying (pun intended) that this is a nice, inexpensive option for someone who likes a softer mattress. ... show more

This Mattress really sleeps good! We just love it. It has been about a month long deal to get to this point. So let me explain. We ordered this item on 4/14/26 mattress arrived on 4/16. We immediately opened the mattress let it roll out on our bed frame. After the mattress had expanded somewhat we noticed a large lump about the size of a man's fist in the side of the matterss. We immediately contacted the website on the instructions which was the factory to let them know of the issue. We also noticed other areas on that side that wasn't expanding properly. We got a reply next day giving us instructions of the next steps they wanted us do do including pictures. During this time we looped Amazon in to contact the seller also. Most of the remaining conversations was with the seller. They agreed that there was a problem from the factory and they would refund our money once they had proof that the mattress that was shipped was destroyed. I would have thought that the factory would like to pick up the mattress to determine what went wrong at the factory but they didn't want it. Since they wanted the mattress destroyed we deceided to sleep on it anyway till we could get it to the dump. It actually slept pretty good, the damaged side was my side so it felt like I was inching down hill during the night otherwise slept real good. We deceided to see if they would just replace the mattress since we did like the product. Seller agreed, I just had to destroy the mattress & send them proof. I sent that information on 5/2 and Seller immediately shipped a new mattress with an estimated delivery of 5/6, 5/6 went by no mattress. Told Amazon and the seller about the issue & I was unable to track the item once it got to the distribution warehouse. Went out on the truck for delivery but never showed up then the tracking disappeared. The seller even contacted the freight company trying to find it. It appears to be lost in transit even though it weighes 106 lbs and stands about 5 ft tall. With all the bad things that went wrong we were fit to be tied! But the seller jumped in and deceided to ship another matress for us while they delt with the freight company about the lost package. We praised them for their goodness and concerns for us not having a decent bed to sleep on. We had been sleeping on a blow up bed for about 2 weeks. They shipped the new bed on 5/10 & it arrived on 5/13 as promised. We were so thankfull!! We upacked the bed just as soon as it got here letting it expand in the middle of the livingroom floor. Once everything was looking good, We moved it into the bedroom just like a normal mattress to let the expansion process complete itself. Again we are so happy with the new mattress and want to sing praises for the Seller & everything they went thru to make us happy. Amazon also was ready to stand behind the product if they didn't. I would buy this product again & deal with this seller again. Although we were upset during the procsss we were nice to them in they and they were nice to us. This is our 4th memory foam mattress and it provides a very comfortable sleep. My husband and I are both heavy and this mattress supports our combined 450 lbs comfortably. We moved to Mexico a little over a year ago and weren’t able to find a fully memory foam mattress and ended up with an expensive hybrid that was not comfortable fir us. We even had it replaced once in the first 6 months we had it and still it was not comfortable for us, both side sleepers with shoulder and hip issues. We ordered this mattress on a trip to Arizona because a comparable mattress here even through Amazon Mexico was quite a bit more expensive and difficult to find. We opened the mattress on the morning after we returned from Arizona and it immediately expanded to 13 1/2 inches. Sitting on the edge of it made me VERY nervous because it seemed really soft. We ordered a medium/firm 14” king size mattress and i was worried that by the feel of the mattress it would be too soft and result in a sore back. I didn’t go to bed until late that night and did not sleep well. I was not uncomfortable, I had no shoulder or hip pain and my back was fine the next morning but I didn’t sleep well for whatever reason, possibly no connection to the new bed. I was hopeful for a great night sleep the next night but again I did not sleep well. I didn’t have any pain and felt fine in the morning but just didn’t sleep well. My husband was sleeping just fine though. The third night I slept ok....found the bed comfortable......less turning during the night....a more sound sleep......no pain in bed and no pain when I got up. I waited 3 weeks to write my review and I will update after 6 months but I find it to be a very comfortable bed. This mattress provides a good night sleep, a little softer than my experience with a medium/firm mattress but supportive enough nonetheless. It is a good bed for heavy people and I am sure would be quite comfortable for slender folks too. It is not too hot of a sleep with the gel top layer. Decided to purchase this mattress after lying on several high end mattresses. We just could not justify 5-6 thousand for a mattress. After reading mostly excellent reviews for the CoolGel brand, we decided to try this out. We purchased during the Black Friday sale so it made the decision easier. The mattress arrived a day earlier than anticipated. The box was literally destroyed. However, the mattress was well packaged and compressed with multiple layers of plastic. We unboxed it and allowed 24 hour for it inflate. However, we could have used it after about three hours, it did significantly get firmer after 24 hours. The mattress is described as a medium plush or slightly firm. However, it is a bit more firm than anticipated. Overall, it is very comfortable and supportive with minimal motion transfer. The pillows are just ok. The cooling features are definitely not on the same level as the TempurPedics but I can say it is cooler than my previous pillow top mattress. I would not say it is hot by any means. After two nights of sleeping on our new bed, I already feel less lower back pain than I experienced with our old mattress. Note: our old mattress was not worn out and was a high end traditional firm mattress. For the low cost point, I would definitely recommend giving this mattresses a try if you are on the fence. We purchased the COOL GEL Chill Memory Foam 14-Inch King Mattress and initially found it to be moderately comfortable. The setup was easy and the mattress had a decent feel during the first few weeks. However, after about three months of normal use, the mattress developed a noticeable soft spot in the area where my husband sleeps. This was unexpected given the short amount of time we’ve had it and the fact that it is being used within the advertised weight capacity. The uneven support has become more noticeable over time and is affecting comfort and sleep quality. We gave it time to “break in,” but the issue has not improved. Unfortunately, we were just outside the 100-night trial window (by only a few days), so we were unable to return it, and customer service would not make an exception. The Cool Gel Chill mattress is, bar none, the most comfortable mattress I've slept on in over 50 years. It supports my 235 pound, 6' 6.5" frame with ease. Conforms to laying on my left or right side or flat on my back. That said, it ships in a bulky cardboard carton that will require a hand truck to transport. It also will require two people to lay out. There are no markings on the plastic covering that dictates which side goes up or down. You really need to ensure that the correct side is up BEFORE you cut open the plastic, as the mattress will automatically assume its correct shape as soon as any part of it becomes exposed to open air. Once it expands fully it's harder to maneuver. The directions state that you should wait 24 hours before using it for the first time, but I slept quite comfortably after 2 hours. ... show more
