  • Good value for the money and an actually decent mattress
Size: 6 Inch Style: Full Pattern Name: Mattress
Very good product for the money. I use this on my sailboat an extra mattress upfront. When I first got it, it seemed really thin, but honest to God after a day or two a thing blew up so big I couldn’t believe that was inside of a box. It’s comfortable for what I need. I sleep pretty good at night on it. ... show more

  • Perfect for the price!
Size: 6 Inch Style: Full Pattern Name: Mattress
Great mattress for the price! I've been sleeping on this mattress for a few months now and it's so comfy. It's a not too firm and not too soft. It was easy to setup, as simple as removing the plastic and letting it expand. It expands pretty instantly but I still gave it 24 hours to fully expand as it's recommended. I got a full coverage mattress protector to put over it so I don't have to worry about getting it dirty or cleaning it. It's true to size as well, I got the Full size 6" mattress to fit my full size bed frame and it fits perfectly. And even though it's only 6" it is still thick enough to not feel the frame below you, even as someone who is overweight it doesn't sag at all. It was easy to lift as well. Honestly when I got the box I thought I had been scammed because of how light weight it is. I can easily move it to put my sheets on or clean around and under my bed. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT QUALITY! Cheap price but not cheaply made
Size: 10 Inch Style: Queen Pattern Name: Mattress
This review is going to be in-depth, and objective, as well as a little bit of subjective perspective. It will be ongoing, as I will continue to update periodically for the lifetime of the mattress. I'm doing this for the potential customers, because I would have appreciated If more reviews were more specific, and informative as opposed to just simple comments, hence the word review. I read a lot of Amazon reviews on multiple memory foam mattresses that Amazon had to offer, researched in store, and online prior to purchasing this Best Price Mattress. You spend a 1/3 your life sleeping, so I knew this was a VERY IMPORTANT investment, and wanted to make an informed decision. Also, my spending budget was under $1k, wasn't trying to spend up to $1k-4k on a Tempur-Pedic; plus the ones I tried in store weren't that magical anyways considering the price. I've read that memory foam mattresses tend to last 5 years on average depending you got a decent purchase. So if this lasted even 3 years that accounts to $100 a year, that would be awesome, who could afford not to make this type of investment. To give you an idea, I'm a male, 24 years of age, 5'8", 165 lbs, no major health issues, illness, or sickness just some occasional neck and back pains. I haven't slept well in more than 3 years now, having slept mostly on pillow top spring mattress, futons, and airbeds. I don't usually like taking pills or medicine, but have had to resort to taking Melatonin on occasion due to restlessness. I'm also a very light sleeper (have been for all my life). For instance, I need the room to be pitch dark, no loud, or sudden noises, so I use ear plugs. 2/4/2014 First off, I ordered this on Sunday, close to midnight, and received it on Tuesday, before noon; via Amazon Prime 2-day Shipping. Shipping was very quick, Amazon is usually very good about getting the product delivered on time, even a day earlier sometimes. Ups delivery man carried the 80 lbs box with the mattress up 3 flights of stairs with a smile. The box itself had minor blemishes as expected, but no major damage, or anything that would have damaged the contents containing the mattress. Inside the box was the mattress rolled up in a thin, transparent vacuumed sealed plastic, within a durable, semi-opaque, white outer plastic bag with a tie string, along with warranty, and instructions. Setup was easy enough for one person. The mattress began to expand immediately, when taking off the vacuum sealed plastic; and within 30 minutes it was already at 9 1/4"H. Ten hours later it has expanded to 9 3/4"H. Dimensions on the mattress are on point, fits on the queen bed frame perfectly. Directions say to allow for 48 hours of uninterrupted expansion for best results. I strongly do not recommend sleeping on the mattress during the allotted expansion time, doing so may have implications such as not fully expanding as per the instructions. I'm a little OCD, and cautious, so I'm allowing at least 72 hours for expansion to ensure quality from the very beginning of use. Most of the reviews said that it had a strong chemical odor, and they weren't lying it is quite strong, but not enough to give you a headache. It's been airing out for 10 hours, the chemical odor is still quite noticeable, and this is with a tall window open and the ceiling fan on high, but again this is to be expected. I took the mattress cover off, and will leave it off for the 72 hours to enable it to expand, and dissipate unhindered, also going to wash it to hopefully lessen, and mask the smell. The white removable cover is thin, lightweight, soft, smooth, surprisingly durable, and seems to be of decent quality; the detail design pattern looks to be little flowers of some sort. Underneath the removable white cover is some type of non-removable beige, mesh cover, not too sure what its purpose is, but if you really needed to you could cut it and remove it I guess. I lied on the bed for a couple minutes when it was initially expanding, and it felt really soft, plushy, not really firm, but supportive if that makes sense. I liked what I felt in the few minutes that I had with the mattress; we'll see if it can wow me in the long run though. My only con or gripe about the mattress thus far, would have to be the chemical odor, but again it was to be expected. A friend told me that they actually don't compress the bed until it's ordered, because if it were compressed for a long time and the chemical dried out, it'd probably stay compressed to a certain point. I'm assuming that the chemical helps to compress the foam as well as expand it, a sort of lubricant if you will. Let the chemical run its course, and dissipate, it was implemented for a reason. Additionally I bought a Sleep Innovations Cool Contour Memory Foam Pillow from Amazon coming tomorrow, which I'm eager to try, should go hand in hand with the bed. Also the frame Sleep Master Platform Metal Bed Frame/Mattress Foundation, Queen was from Amazon too, and arrived before the mattress conveniently; no complaints. I will update when I've slept on the mattress; possibly a video as well. ... show more

Exactly as described. Firm yet soft. My kid sleeps so much better now. Note my child has scoliosis and a firmer mattress helps keep the spine more aligned and reduce some of the daily pain.

This mattress (8") was on a terrific sale and I had to pull the trigger on it. Got here quickly and got it unwrapped and let it sit. No weird odors or fumes which is great. Fully firm and comfortable - measures exactly full size and height ordered. Try to give it a full day to settle and decompress. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • I too was exposed to fine fiberglass particles
Size: 12 Inch Style: Full Pattern Name: Mattress
[Edited 11/24/18 - see bottom] So, we have had this mattress for two years and noticed that it was getting lumpy. We could feel something knotted up under the cover. So I pulled it back to find that the firesock was in pieces and completely degraded. Now, I know what fiberglass looks like, I have worked with it in boats, cars, insulation, etc. This did not look or feel like fiberglass, it looked like fine blonde toddler hair. I started cleaning out the clumps of material that I assumed was some sort of a polyester fabric. I then got a vacuum cleaner involved to get the small stuff up. It was not until a bit of sunlight popped through the window that I realized the air was full of fiberglass particles. At this point I had been working in it and breathing it for at least 30 minutes. So I grabbed a high-power LED flashlight and discover that I was covered head to toe and our bedroom wall to wall in fine fiberglass. I previously had a more expensive USA made memory foam mattress and it was wrapped in what looked like panty hose material. We had slept on it for over 15 years and it had never worn through and it was not fiberglass. I discussed this with a friend of mine who works in the industry and he said that more brands than you might think are using fiberglass, but they are almost always the cheaper or over-seas manufactured stuff. He says that I should steer clear of any model that uses it because it simply will not last as I have experienced with this mattress. He says that fiberglass is cheap and will pass the fire certification test, but unfortunately there are no regulations that deal with the longevity or results of using it in a mattress. I have been ill for days coughing stuff up and feel like I have pneumonia. According to the doctor, it will clear with time but will likely leave some permanent damage. It is not dangerous in terms of coal mining dust or asbestos, but he says there is little research on its long-term effects. So if you have this mattress and it starts getting the lumps from the fire sock breaking down, just toss it in the garbage and move on. DO NOT REMOVE THE COVER! I know it has a zipper, just convince yourself that it does not. I do not remember reading anything about this when I received the mattress. I am looking for the limited documentation that shipped with it to verify if there were warnings about this. [11/24/18] We purchased a new bed, so while I was having this one removed, I snapped photos of the tags and have added them here. As you can see, it clearly says that the inner cover, known as a "Fire Sock", is made of glass. It also says that the outer cover is removable for cleaning. However, DO NOT DO IT! It only says not to remove the inner cover, but what else can you do if it starts breaking and clumping the way ours did? I am still having issues with breathing. I had asthma as a kid and have needed to use an inhaler a couple of times a week since this fiasco. I did find the original paperwork, but it was just instructions on how to allow the mattress to inflate to full size before using. I wish Amazon did not sell these and I am disappointed when I see similar ones at box stores like Wal-Mart. Buyer beware. ... show more
