This lightweight steam mop is quick and easy to assemble for use and disassemble for storage. Plastic push connections are found throughout. Thankfully, O-rings are used to ensure the unit is free of leaks. During the warm up process, which takes a matter of seconds, a red LED illuminates the water tank. When it is at temperature and operational, the LED changes to blue. The rotary dial goes from off to full on. There is no pause function, so if you need to temporarily stop the steamer you’ll have to turn it off completely. You can use this as a steam mop with the holder, or detach the main body and use it as a handheld steamer. So far I’ve used it with noticeable success on tile, grout, and windows. Although it doesn’t have a creaser, you can also use this as a basic clothes steamer. The instructions for storage state “take out the water tank, and empty the residual water…” I couldn’t figure out how to remove the water tank and don’t think it’s possible. The tank will dry out if you leave the fill cap off after pouring out the residual water.

My bathroom grout looked like a moldy Rorschach test. This mop blasted it in 2 passes – 15 seconds to boil water, 30 seconds to melt grime! The 90° rotation zapped baseboard mold, and the split design even cleaned my curtains (who knew?). BUT – the water tank’s “max” line is wishful thinking. I refilled twice cleaning the kitchen. Also, the steam smells like burnt toast for the first minute. Worth it? Yes, because my floors now sparkle… and my dog won’t walk on them.

Sure, it heats up fast (15 seconds if you count preheating the planet). The 12-in-1 design is clever – until you lose the crevice tool. The split handle is great for tight spots, but the weight feels like wielding a cast-iron skillet. Pro tip: Don’t bother with hardwood floors. It’s like mopping with a hairdryer.
